Graduates of this program are eligible to take the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam in Virginia and many other states. 2. Through selection of CET electives, students may specialize in either Construction Management, Structural Design, or Site Development. Construction Management electives are CET 445 Construction Planning and Scheduling, CET 460 Construction Cost Estimating, CET 465 Construction Project Management, CET 470 Infrastructure, Heavy Hwy & Equip. Structural Design electives are CET 400 Computer Applications in Structural Design, CET 405 Environmental Loads, CET 410 Reinforced Concrete Design or CET 450 Structural Steel Design, CET 415 Design of Structural Systems, CET 452 Wood Design,. Site Development Electives are CET 332 Water Resources Engineering, CET 420 Hydrology and Drainage, CET 408 Hydrology Engineering and CET 425 Land Design and Development. Declaring a concentration is not mandatory. To complete a concentration, however, only three if the courses specified must be completed. The additional CET electives may be from another concentration’s list (Total of 15 hours required). 3. There are not any transfer equivalencies for ENGT 111 in the VCCS. Program Directors will review students’ transfer credits and make substitutions if there are appropriate alternative courses. ITE 119 is an acceptable substitution, but should only be taken if necessary after review of existing transfer credits by Program Director 4. To satisfy the University’s upper division general education requirement, students may take any two 300 or 400 level courses from the Colleges of Arts & Letters, Business & Public Administration, Education, Health Sciences, or Sciences.
