President’s View Your Plan or Someone Else’s???? The end of each year in real estate, we cram to get our continuing education credits in, and this year, we, as Women’s Council of REALTORS®, stepped up to offer our first ever true blue class of 3 hours of CE at the Business Success Forum, plus it was a “R” class, in which “R” classes are sometimes hard to come by. We had Karel Murray as our instructor for the Public Trust….Handle with Care class. She offered some great insight on how our actions as a business owners and leader in our community translates to the public eye and how we need to continue to be aware of the way we handle our business to maintain a solid reputation. Karel’s bottom line is every move we make impacts the way we are viewed and therefore every day we need to strive to put our best foot forward. Summarizing the Success Forum further, we had a great number in attendance and reached out to WCR Member and other members of our real estate community to add value and professionalism in our industry. We also had great support from our WCR Affiliate Members who hosted booths at the Success Forum and helped us raise $500 for Project Wee Care, our community service efforts through WCR amaze me every month. Keep up the good team work to make that happen again and again! In October, we also elected leadership for 2016. We have a great team coming up and I am so excited to see what they will do next year. Congrats to Crystal Archer-PJ Morgan, incoming 2016 WCR President, Darla Bengtson-Nebraska Realty, incoming President Elect, Katie Clemenger-Celebrity Homes, incoming VP of Membership, Surie Legge-Sac Federal Credit Union incoming Secretary, and Becky Sandiland-First National Bank as the 2nd year treasurer. On December 8th from 3-6pm at Champions Run we will have the Installation and Holiday Tea where we will install these fine ladies into their new roles, plus announce this year’s winners of Entrepreneur of the Year, Affiliate of the Year, Outstanding Service Award, and REALTOR® of the Year for 2015. You will definitely want to be a part of this afternoon of events, mark your calendars. We also have our broker panel coming up on November 19th 11a-1p at Champions Run, we are all looking forward to hearing these leaders predictions for our next year in real estate. Last year this was such an entertaining and informative luncheon, RSVP today by paying on the PayPal link on www.omahawcr.com or RSVP to Heidi Weeks at hweeks@centrisfcu.org. Lastly, keep pushing on to finish the year strong and start setting your 2016 goals for your business. If you don’t have a plan you will become a part of someone else’s plan, so write those goals down!
