St Giles Juniors New York is located on the Upper West Side of vibrant Manhattan, the heart of New York City. Barnard College is affiliated to Columbia University and is located just steps away from its campus.
St Giles Juniors New York is perfect for more independent learners wishing to experience the excitement of living and learning in one of the world’s greatest cities. The main attractions of New York City are only minutes away, making the centre ideal for those looking for a real city experience.
The centre is well-equipped and features a study lounge and a TV lounge. Central air conditioning is provided in students’ bedroom suites.
Students can make the most of Manhattan with our lively and varied social programme.
After lessons, St Giles staff will accompany students on the famous New York subway to travel around the city, taking advantage of the breathtaking sights on offer.
Students attending our New York junior summer centre will find themselves in the heart of Manhattan, and just a short distance away from sightseeing destinations
(Broadway, left and Times Square, centre). Students and staff will travel to nearby destinations travelling like real New Yorkers on the subway (right).

Classes and Meals
Classes take place in the buildings near the residence and all meals are taken in the cafeteria in the residence. A packed lunch is provided on full-day activities.
Activities and Excursions
A full afternoon and evening activity programme is provided. There are a range of activities per week including discos, film nights, karaoke, soccer, international talent nights, shopping and visits to local attractions.
There will also be at least two full-day and two half-day excursions per week included in the package price. Destinations include the Empire State Building, 5 th Avenue, Times Square,
Wall Street, Central Park, American Museum of Natural History, and lots of sightseeing in
New York.
