A Thank you note from Fr. Miguel;

My dear friends of Mary Our queen Church!

Glory to Jesus Christ! Glory forever!

Still settling in at Holy Family church, I have finally found time to find the computer keyboard to write.

I can ’ t begin to tell you how much I miss you all. Of course, I am making new friends here but I do miss you all deeply.

Thank you for the gifts give to me at my departure. You are all so thoughtful. I kept telling myself that all I did was visit on weekends but God/s grace was certainly with all of us.

I will continue to remember you all in prayer as you welcome Fr. Darragh (lucky guy) and continue to build your new church building. Please convey my profound tanks to Fr. Dye.

Blessings and God ’ s peace,

Please write out a separate check for offertory, second collections,

Bridging the Gap and the SVDP. Having a separate check or cash enables our counters to process the donations quicker.

For payroll deduction programs: those parishioners processing their contributions through a payroll deduction program should contact

Paula Campos at extension 13. We often receive third party checks with no contributor identification. In order to ensure that parishioners receive accurate year-end financial reports., we need to know who is participating in these programs , and the name of the third party.

Welcome to Catholic Life Every Day

with our Parish App

Text APP to 88202 to download our parish app, then select

Mary Our Queen after opening –it ’ s that simple!

We will be able to better communicate with you throughout the week and keep you updated with relevant parish news or updates. The App is very well designed and very intuitive. It will be a great resource for all parishioners by providing daily Mass readings, Catholic news and prayers, convenient prayer and Confession reminders, upcoming Parish events, our bulletins and more.

We hope this new App will be a tool for fostering stronger parish life at

Mary Our Queen

A modern day tool to communicate The Good News!

Are you or do you know someone who ……

Has expressed an interest in learning about the Catholic faith?

 Was baptized Catholic, but has not celebrated the Sacraments of the Eucharist or

Confirmation

Has a child over the age of seven who has not been baptized or has not received First

Holy Communion or Confirmation.

We offer an opportunity to come together in a small group to learn more about our faith. Sessions focus on the teachings and experience of Church and prepare individuals to celebrate the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist during the Easter season. There are separate sessions for Children or youth. You are welcome to participate in the process with your questions, your insights and your faith story. For information please contact the Mary Our Queen office at 770-416-0002.

Summertime and the living is easy.” That ’ s what the favorite old song says. The living may be easy, but often the giving is not. Summer collections often drop significantly in our parish because of vacation travel, sports schedules and other activities that cause parishioners to attend Mass in other parishes. If you would like to make your giving easy and consistent , please consider our electronic giving option. Currently parish families are using this simple and secure way to make and track their parish giving.

If you would like to learn more, please contact the parish office or check out our website at ; www.maryourqueen.com

The Children’s Page

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy

Spirit. Amen.

The Lord is with us. His Spirit lives in our hearts.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be forever.

Lord, teach me to be courageous today. May your Spirit guide my decisions.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen

DIFFICULT WORDS found in the scriptures ………………………

To anoint is to put holy oil on someone. This was done as a sign of giving someone the strength from God to be a king, a Priest, or a special messenger of

God.

To be disturbed means feeling upset and confused.

Samaritan means from or in the land of Samaria.

The flesh here means all the parts of us that lead us away from God and toward sin.

To be opposed to each other means to fight against each other. The Spirit leads to God, but the flesh pulls away from God.

The law was given by God because people were always doing what their flesh wanted. If we have the Spirit, we don ’ t need to be under the law, because we will be doing what God wants . From MagnifiKid!

THOUGHTS

What would our parish look like if ………

If a full fifteen minutes before Mass people were prayerfully preparing for the true presence of Jesus to enter into their souls, and where people stay five minutes after to give thanks to God for the Gift they have received.

 What would our parish be like if we were known as the premier place in

Peachtree Corners for feeding the poor, helping those pregnant and in crisis, assisting immigrants, and helping people save their houses?

What would it be like if every parishioner belonged to a Bible study or took part in at least one of our many ministries?

 What if we started to treat our Pastor as though he really was the spiritual father of our parish and family; if you invited him out to eat, had him bless you and your kids, and went to Him first when you have some serious personal problems.

St. Irenaeus says that “ The glory of God is man fully alive.

” Just imagine what our parish would look like if every man, woman, and child, every family, every couple, every single person, - everyone on the books at our parish were made just a little more alive each day, each week, each year, in this parish we call home .

I ’ ll tell you what our parish would look like …….

it would change the world.
