Worked with the Congressional Research Service in Washington DC to write report on the role of Principles
and Guidelines in evaluating benefits and costs of federal water projects.
Science-Policy Fellow and Research Associate, National Academy of Sciences, Washington DC, 2006-2007
Facilitated studies for the Water Science and Technology Board of the National Research Council. Worked
with the scientists and managers to write consensus reports to guide policymaking for federal agencies.
Planned committee meetings, moderated discussions, edited and managed report writing and review.
Climate Science Consultant, Rivet Entertainment L.L.C., 2007
Conducted research on 8-hour Discovery Channel documentary-drama on climate change. Interpreted science
from climate change scientists for writers and producers.
Management Experience
Transportation Dispatch Supervisor, 2002 Olympic Games, Salt Lake City, UT
Organized operations and coordinated internal shuttle systems and motor pool for the Olympic Village.
Managed daily work assignments of two staff members and over 40 volunteers.
Information Services Coordinator, 2001 Special Olympics World Games, Anchorage, AK
Developed, implemented, and evaluated operation plans. Trained over 100 volunteers and was direct
supervisor for the 10 Special Olympic Village venue leads.
Teaching Experience

Developed curriculum and served as lead instructor for graduate-level course on water management, CEE 578
