DESCRIPTION - 6” IC housing for use with 1200 lumen RL660(15W), RL661(15W), RL630(24W) & RL607(24W) LED series Module LED trims. Designed for new construction
installations and suitable for 1200 lumen use in insulation covered or non-insulation covered ceilings. The LD600IC-AT-DIMTR housing is engineered with a unique ‘EZ-connect’
wiring system, that when used with the RL660(15W), RL661(15W), RL630(24W) & RL607(24W) trim, with Energy Star and California Title-24 (compliances pending). The unique
EZ-connect system also meets other state and national regulatory mandates. Module LED connects effortlessly to housing, virtually eliminating mis-wiring and potential shock hazards.
NOTE - Complete system includes LD6I00C-AT-DIMTR housing and Module LEDs RL660/ RL661 series trim. RL600 Module LEDs trim must be ordered
separately.
SPECIFICATION
HOUSING - Die-formed aluminum and galvanized steel for maximum heat dissipation
and rust protection. Housing adjusts vertically in plaster frame to accommodate 1/2“ to
1-3/8” thick ceiling. Housing is IC rated for direct contact with insulation and can be
used in IC and NON-IC applications. May be installed in 2” x 8” joist construction.

CONNECTION - Polarity-specific EZ-connect system engineered to match with Elite
Module LED trims. *Meets strict code requirements where Edison Base Sockets
have been banned.

BAR HANGERS
• Double-headed nail is securely positioned 20° down in a hammer swing position
for quick installation. Allows for easy removal and relocation and can be easily
installed into any wood material.
• One end of bar hangers hinges 90°, allowing wiring of luminaire while splices are
at eye level and below the ceiling line.
• Installing pivoting end first allows for easy access to splice box, increasing
efficiency of personal.
• Bar hanger ends have quick location tab allowing luminaire to be located easily
and accurately against the exact bottom of studs each time.
• Bar hangers can be modified to fit in 12” joist spans without removal from
housing. Simply push in completely and snap off excess ends.
• Bar hanger ends are equipped with additional holes and slots for use when local
codes require luminaires to be additionally secured.
• Notch and tab in bar hanger ends allow installation on standard commercial
T-bars and grid ceiling supports without additional modification, clips or brackets.
• Bar hangers can be positioned on either the long or short axis of the housing and
locked in position on all sides at any place along a 24” span.
JUNCTION BOX - UL Listed for through-branch circuit wiring, provided with four
½” knockouts, one ¾” knockout and four Romex knockouts with true pry-out slots
and strain clamps. Designed for straight through conduit runs.

THERMAL PROTECTION - Standard thermal protection device guards against
improper installation and misuse of insulation material.
ELITE MODULE LED SOLD SEPARATELY - Module LEDs unique ‘EZ-connect’
wiring system is Title 24-2008 compliant when used with the LD600IC-AT-DIMTR
housing. The unique EZ-connect system also meets other state and national
regulatory mandates. System is a UL Listed disconnect system that preserves the
integrity of the energy-efficient system by insuring only Elite brand trims are used.
The EZ-connect system prevents installation of less efficient incandescent luminaires
and LEDs.

The Elite RL660/ RL661 have been engineered for New Construction, Remodel and Retrofit applications for 6
inch downlights. Dedicated housings install the same way as our standard incandescent downlights and include
features such as adjustable, lockable and tilting bar hangers.
Over 1000 usable lumens are directed from the luminaire to the work surface. Lighting is smooth and
comfortable, all while using 75% less energy than the equivalent 75W BR30 and 25% less than the common
26W CFL . Plus the Elite RL660/ RL661 features 50,000 hours of life, and California Title-24 compliance.

Anyone can mount a chip to a heat sink and make a down light.
Gather the light scattered by the LED chip, shape it into a functional beam with a state of the art
reflector,integrate the light through a smooth reflector to minimize brightness, then top it all off with a glare
reducing cone that has a 55-degree cut-off. Now you have the Elite-engineered, superior quality, RL660/RL661
consuming less than 15 Watts and producing over 1000 lumens. Available in Baffle and Reflector options.

Extruded aluminum housing and heat management system is engineered for extremely long life and service
period. Without proper heat management, any LED luminaire will fail. Our heat sink pulls the heat from the
CREE LED chip, allowing the continued cool operation for years. Life tests have shown the light output will
be maintained at 70% of initial at 50,000 hours of operation. Our superior design allows for installation in
construction that requires the Elite Air-Shut™ system. Built-in LED driver is rated for 50 to 60 Htz at 120V
input, produces less than 20% THD, has a power factor between 0.90 and 1.00 and is thermal protected for
additional safety.

LED RETRO FIT MODULE
Repeatability means quality. From our chip selection process, to our driver, to the thermal management, the
Elite RL660/ RL661 Module is engineered for quality. All Elite LED luminaries are rated at 80+ CRI, as rated and
tested to LM-79 and LM-80 standards by an outside laboratory, and meets the California Title-24 compliance
standards. Our stringent chip specifications to accept only those chips that produce no ultra violet light and with
very minimal infrared.
w DIMMABLE
The Elite RL660/ RL661 lighting system is dimmable down to 5% by using an approved Incandescent dimmer
and select Electronic Low voltage dimmers. Refer to dimming matrix for more information.
• Utilizes industry standard V or torsion springs,
installs in most 6” incandescent down lights.

to ceiling.
w INTERCHANGEABLE
The Elite RL660/ RL661 LED system works in our dedicated new construction IC (LD600IC) housings and our
existing 6” incandescent Non-IC housings (B6-AT, B6R-AT) but is also suitable for use in most 6-inch recessed
downlight housings.
w ADAPTABLE
All Elite RL660/ RL661 luminaries are shipped standard with our custom engineered Edison adapter. This
adapter assembly allows the luminaries to install directly into existing Elite 6” incandescent Non-IC downlight
housings and most other 6-inch incandescent downlight housings. GU24 style socket base adapters also
available upon request.
