Individuality · The Belzona Marine Difference
Belzona Marine is a company that is not
afraid to create its own path.
The Belzona Difference is unique throughout
the world of boat building. It represents a
company with strong ideals and a definite
view about how to approach things. Above
all, however, it stands for the dream of
one man, and one company, who was not
satisfied with simply following the trail set
forth by others.
“I’ve been an avid boater since I was very
young. I created Belzona Marine because I
knew that boats could be better tailored to
the way people really use them: fishing or
scuba diving one day, and taking the family
to the local sandbar the next.”
- Joel Svendsen, Owner and CEO
never forget where we have come from and
to focus on that which we do best. The
difference between our boats and all others
in today’s market is simple: we are here to
make the best boat money can buy, and
they will always be a built for the way you live.
This philosophy provides us with the
motivation we need to always do our best.
We continually try to redefine our limits
and set new standards for the industry. To

Tradition · Belzona Company History
The family of Belzona companies has been setting
industry milestones long before 1952.
Belzona has always had its roots set firmly in
building upon efficiency and performance.
The very first Belzona office, established in
Elland, England in 1952 specialized in the
flame spraying of zinc to provide protection
from erosion and corrosion. Since then
Belzona’s zinc-rich polymer coatings have
developed into a technologically advanced
product range that is renowned for being at
the forefront of advanced polymer systems
and engineering maintenance. With over
60 years of providing repair composites
for the Marine Industry. Belzona expanded
into the boat building industry. Belzona
Marine is based on the same principles
which have allowed Belzona to thrive, and
the owners of Belzona plan on providing
customers with yet another company
that will exceed industry standards, and
will be a lasting success. Hard work,
dedication, revolutionary technologies,
quality products, investments into research
and development, and excellent customer
service are all values which drive Belzona
Marine forward.

Intelligent Performance is our commitment
to the future of the marine industry.
As is evidenced by our extraordinary line-up
of models, at Belzona we carry engineering
skills to the extreme. But it is never about
technology for technology’s sake. It’s a
balanced approach. The result: Intelligent
Performance.
a way of life. The appeal of our products
is the driving force that encourages each
and every individual within the company to
constantly seek improvements, regularly
testing and optimizing structures and
processes.
Here at Belzona, people are constantly
seeking new ideas, on their own initiative,
which in the long run means better boats.
Belzona Marine is not just a company; it is
How do you define a Belzona? It is the
ability to combine opposites such as utility
and enhanced comfort, higher performance
and everyday usability. In short: a
harmonious overall concept based on the
principle of getting the maximum out of
what is possible. Our model range provides
something for everyone: fishing, cruising,
diving, and family fun. In addition we offer
numerous customizable options that enable

Don’t let a few unanswered questions
keep you from your dream boat.
How do the patented Easy Open Sliding
Doors work?
Does water come into the boat from
under the Easy Open Sliding Doors?
The patented Belzona Marine Easy Open
Sliding Doors work using a set of stainless
steel trolleys and tracks. Beveled trolleys
which contain two bearings each are
mounted to the boat while tracks are
mounted to the bottoms of the doors. Once
installation is finished the door’s trolley and
track systems marry seamlessly. Since
the doors are so easy to open and close
manually, Belzona Marine chose to not
mechanize the Easy Open Sliding Door
system eliminating the need for extra parts
that may require repair or substitution in the
future. Each door comes standard with a
stopping mechanism preventing the doors
from sliding back past a certain point. In
the closed position, each door is secured
with two half inch tapered alignment pins,
as well as a locking apparatus. In both the
open and closed positions the doors are
secured with two heavy duty spring loaded
barrel bolts.
Water rarely comes into the boat from under
the Easy Open Sliding doors, even in beam
seas. If you have ever had the chance to
look at a Belzona Marine boat you will notice
that we do not install gaskets underneath
the doors. That’s because they are not
needed. In addition to the water line being
12 inches below the bottom of the doors,
the spray rail that runs along the side of the
boat effectively deter water from entering.
were calculated specifically to support the
hull with its missing portions. The stringer
systems are built from the bottom of the hull
to the height of the deck, and run from the
stern to the bow. They are 5.5 inches wide
and at least 24 inches tall depending on the
cross section of the hull. The way the boat
was designed, the boat’s stringer system
and its lamination schedule all add up to the
Belzona’s surprising rigidity, stability, and
strength.
Why is the windshield of the Belzona
327 leaning forward?
Do the doors affect hull strength and
stability?
Simply put, no, the Easy Open Sliding doors
do not affect the hull’s strength and stability.
The hull was not built and then cut to allow
the spaces for the doors. Our entire line
of Belzona Marine boats were engineered
from the ground up with the doors in
mind. The stringer systems inside the hull
Military and work boats have forward facing
windshields for a reason. It’s functional. The
forward facing windshield on the Belzona
Marine 325 Center Console cuts down on
glare, and sheds water from rain quickly
without the use of windshield wipers,
eliminating yet another part that can break.
As you stand behind the windshield, you are
given a wide, clear field of vision with plenty

of room and air flow making it the perfect
boat to enjoy during the hot, fun filled days
of summer.
How stable is the hard top without an
aluminum frame?
Belzona has engineered our hard top support
system with a composite post aft and a
composite windshield frame forward. The
hardtop is mounted, eventually becoming
a uni-body structure, on these frames with a
high tech fusing agent called methacrylate,
thus eliminating screws, nuts, bolts and welds
that can loosen or crack. By removing the
aluminum frame, we have eradicated visual
obstructions allowing 360 degree views from
the helm and companion seats.
What is quick drain technology, and how
does it set Belzona’s safety standards
apart from our competition?
The American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC)
have established standards for modern boat
cockpit drainage systems. Each boat on the
water today has to meet specific drainage
16 · WWW.BELZONAMARINE.COM
requirements based on the amount of water
inside the cockpit, and the overall size of
the boat. Customarily boats use scuppers
installed in the transom to drain water from
inside the cockpit. Due to restrictions in their
size, scuppers can also restrict water from
flowing as freely as needed to successfully
drain a boat. That’s where Belzona’s Quick
Drain Technology comes into play. Because
our transom is mounted onto pylons, water
can evacuate through our freeing ports as
quickly as it comes into the boat, eliminating
the need for traditional scuppers.
Why do we use saddle tanks?
Instead of placing the fuel tanks fore and
aft of the boat’s centerline, Belzona Marine
decided to break with tradition and instead
install saddle tanks: fuel tanks installed port
and starboard. This clears the center bilge
compartment allowing it to be used for
machinery, rigging, electrical, and additional
mechanical operating componentry. Since
fuel is not consumed evenly from each tank
in the fore and aft positions, weight and trim
need to be constantly monitored and adjusted
to counteract the weight loss. Because of the
equal balance of weight from the port and
starboard side saddle fuel tanks, the Belzona
Marine 325 Center Console is very steady,
and requires minimal trim changes as fuel is
used.
What is different about our cabin on the
327 Walk Around?
The days of crouching, bending and crawling
into a head compartment through a small
side or forward door are over. You can enter
the head of the Belzona Marine 325 Center
Console through a walk in sliding door at
the companion seat area. Two steps down
and you are into a head with over 6 feet of
standing room, and 16 square feet of walking
room. Wood and Corian® accents also warm
the head, and can be customized to match
your hull and upholstery colors.
