Minutes of the last meeting
The minutes of the last meeting were agreed as
correct.

Matters arising

Joe said that service users and carers group have
been requesting a copy of the ward forum report but
they haven’t received this as yet.

Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust Mental
Health Service
5.1
At the last meeting, service users and carers raised a number
of concerns about the LPT Crisis Response Team and the apparent
lack of transparency and information available or shared by LPT.
There were particular concerns in relation to suicide rates, the
experience of patients on the Bradgate Unit and support provided in
the community post discharge from the Bradgate Unit.

Paula Vaughan, Head of Service for the Bradgate Unit and
Jules Galbraith, Head of Service for Community Mental Health
from Leicestershire Partnership Trust talked about the mental
health service. The presentation is enclosed with the minutes.
Sandy Zavery and Fabida Noushad along with 2 other BME staff
members from Leicestershire Partnership Trust talked about the
work LPT has undertaken to drive forward the work around
mental health services and their approach to equalities across
the service.
Workshops
6.1
Members of the board were split into different groups to discuss
Patient experience and think about how we can work together to
improve things.
6.2
Councillor Palmer said that the Leicestershire Partnership Trust
report will be finalised and published.
Action
Bradgate Unit Action plan to be circulated with the minutes.
