To work in a team of IT professionals ensuring the provision of Development,
Maintenance and Support for MIS systems and associated applications.

KEY RESULT AREA
IT Teamwork
The provision of effective and efficient Development,
Maintenance and Support for our MIS systems and associated
applications (presently SQL, SERCO and WCBS) within the
Schools or Offices.
To work in partnership with Group IT Management, Regional
IT managers and School IT Support team members in order to
provide both 1st and 2nd line support within the ITIL Helpdesk
framework.
Coordinate with Finance Support team members,
Management and stakeholders to provide information and
reports as required.
User Registration
To work in partnership with the Group Change Control
Manager to assist with the provision of User Registration
Services for all SQL, MIS, Financial and associated
applications within the Schools or Offices.
IT Process Management
Log and complete all SQL, MIS and Financial Application
support tasks, training requirements, change control requests
and projects within the guidelines of ITIL processes and the
framework of Service Level Agreements representing the
School or Office.
Log and complete all SQL, MIS and Financial Application
support tasks, training requirements, change control requests
and projects into the IT Helpdesk application.
Work in conjunction with the Network & Ops team to ensure
the correct access permissions and privileges to staff and
stakeholders for all SQL, MIS, Financial and associated
applications within the School or Office.
Perform “hands on fixes” for all SQL, MIS and Financial
Application support tasks including, but not limited to,
installing, maintaining and upgrading SQL databases, MIS
reporting, capacity planning, implementing system changes
and upgrades as required.
Provide adhoc reports at the request of Management, staff and
stakeholders within the School or Office.
Ensure that all fixes, support tasks and projects carried out in
the local School or Office are in line with the Group IT strategy
and Performance Objectives.

Maintain oversight and responsibility for
the timely resolution of for all SQL, MIS,
Financial Applications and associated
services issues within the School or
Office.
Development of existing SQL, MIS,
Financial Applications and associated
services by analysing and identifying
areas for improvement or modification.
Evidence of the best “customer service”
possible to all staff and stakeholders in
the School or Office.
Report Helpdesk Statistics and Customer
Satisfaction for all SQL, MIS, Financial
Applications and associated services
support.
Satisfaction levels for IT Services should
be consistently above 70%.
Ability to follow practices and procedures
set in place at Group, Regional and
Organisational level.
Ability to set in place practices and
procedures for the team to follow.
Evidence that all tasks and projects for all
SQL, MIS, Financial Applications and
associated services are within the ITIL
and Service Level Agreement framework.
Represent all SQL, MIS, Financial
Applications and associated services at
Change Control Meetings.
Evidence that Business Continuity plans
and procedures are kept up to date for all
SQL, MIS, Financial Applications and
associated services.
Maintain the data standards of the organisation, including
adherence to the relevant local Data Protection Act.
Measure and manage the performance of
3rd parties and vendors within the ITIL
and Service Level Agreement framework.
Develop and maintain a strategy for Business Continuity and
IT Disaster Recovery for the all SQL, MIS and Financial
Application and associated services in the local School or
Office, thereby ensuring database integrity and security.
Oversight and coordination of work with any 3rd party
suppliers and vendors across Schools and Offices ensuring
work is carried out within the ITIL framework and Service Level
Agreements.
IT Communications Management
The provision of IT Communication for all SQL, MIS, Financial
Applications and associated services within the School, Office
or across the Organisation.
Where appropriate escalate issues to Line and Group IT
management.
Communication
Evidence of professional and courteous
communication with IT team members,
staff and stakeholders within the School
or Office, ensuring the projection of a
“positive and professional IT image” to the
business.
All mass communications to Stakeholders and those outside
the IT group must be processed and approved by the Group
Customer Service Manager or the Regional IT Manager.
Attend and contribute to IT team
meetings, progress reports and
stakeholder meetings, as required.
Contribute to the provision of internal and external IT
Documentation and IT Training materials for all SQL, MIS,
Financial Applications and associated services.
Review and report Helpdesk statistics for
all SQL, MIS, Financial Applications and
associated services on a quarterly basis
as part of the IT Service Level Agreement.
Facilitate team communications between Group IT, Regional
IT and other IT team members via “Peer Networks”, especially
during the implementation of new IT systems or special
projects.
Attend the required Team, Group and stakeholder meetings
ensuring notes and tasks are documented in the triple A
format. (Actions, Agreements and Acknowledgements).
Projects - IT in Partnership with the Business
Work as a “Business liaison” for Schools & Offices, gaining
over time a complete understanding of the Workflow and IT
requirements of the school or office.
Report this information on a regular basis to Regional and
Group IT management ensuring the requests and expectations
of stakeholders are met and managed.
Ensure the provision of all SQL, MIS, Financial Applications
and associated services Project tasks at the School or Office
as directed by the Group Network & Ops Manager and the
Group Project Manager.
Contribution and involvement in to Group IT Strategy,
Performance Objectives and School IT policy in relation to all
SQL, MIS, Financial Applications and associated services.
Contribution and involvement, as required, in to deployment of
new schools and offices within the Nord Anglia organisation.

IT Training Management
The provision of training and knowledge sharing for all SQL,
MIS, Financial Applications and associated services across
different platforms, such as classroom training, one to one
coaching and virtual learning, for IT colleagues or, if required,
for stakeholders within the School or Office.
Drive the delivery of IT training, both
formal and informal learning for the VLE
within the school or office in order to
ensure that staff and stakeholders fully
understand and can utilize the IT systems
and facilities provided across the
organisation.
Assist with the production of IT Training materials for IT
colleagues as part of the Group Training IT program.
Ensure that Nord Anglia is kept up to date with any relevant
developments within the SQL, MIS and Financial Application
community and that new developments form part of the IT
Strategy for improvement of IT Services across the
organisation.

Qualifications/Training
 ITIL Foundation Level or above.
 Certification in SQL – MCM or above. MCTIP and/or MCTS.
 Active Directory and Data mining
 Microsoft CRM, Navision and TM1 experience.
 The relevant experience and qualifications in as many of the following areas
as possible.
 Project Management

 Windows Server
 Citrix Configuration and Support
 VMware Virtual Desktop,
 Cisco (routers, switches, firewalls)

Microsoft Analysis Services, SAS or LIONsolver
Experience / Knowledge
 Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in IT with a focus on SQL and Financial
Applications.
 Experience with VMware desktop and replicated image support.
 Written and spoken English with an additional local regional language.
 Sound knowledge of server operating systems and trouble shooting.
 High level of customer support experience.

 Previous experience of working in an educational environment would be
beneficial.
