Fluorocarbon mold releasing agent
DAIFREE
Aqueous emulsion grade
The aqueous emulsion grade of DAIFREE is a fluorocarbon mold releasing agent which has excellent release
properties that make it suitable for use in molding various types of rubber and plastic. It is particularly well suited as a
release agent for rubber products.

Excellent release properties, and effectiveness lasts over a long period of time.
Prevents molds from becoming contaminated, and reduces the number of mold cleaning cycles.
Reduces defect rates for molded products.
Forms a dry film coating which does not migrate and does not stick to molded products.
Good release performance can be obtained with a thin film, and the release agent does not accumulate in
corners, so that dimensional precision can be improved.

Method of use
4-1 Dilution
Ideally, use ion exchange water to dilute to the optimum concentration, and then stir well so that the
concentration becomes uniform.
If film layer characteristics become poor as a result of dilution, better mold coating and release performance
can be obtained by using the GW-D001 diluent.
4-2 Application method
Apply uniformly using a spray gun, brush or cloth.
(If using for the first time, make sure that any previously-used release agent has been completely removed
before application.)
4-3 Cleaning the mold
Alkaline cleaning agents are effective in removing DAIFREE. (Immerse in a 10% aqueous solution of
Potassium hydroxide or Sodium hydroxide to which a small amount of surface active agent has been added.
The cleaning mixture should be at a temperature of 60°C ~ 80°C.)
Slight contamination can usually be removed completely by wiping with a solvent (such as Isopropyl alcohol,
Toluene or Acetone).
5. Usable temperature range
Room temperature to 200°C
6. Cautions on handling
Be sure to read the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) carefully before using this product.
(1) When using DAIFREE for the first time, clean the mold well to remove any residue from other mold releasing
agents. If the mold is not properly cleaned before use, it may adversely affect DAIFREE's performance.
(2) Releasability will be improved if 2 ~ 3 thin coats are applied rather than one thick coat.
(3) Because this grade of DAIFREE is an aqueous emulsion, the emulsion may decompose if it is left to stand for
long periods. Thus it should be used as soon as possible after opening.
(4) Store in a cool, dark place. (Do not store for long periods at temperatures of 40°C or above.)
<Cautions on safety during use>
(1) Use in places which are well ventilated. Install ventilation equipment in the area if necessary.
(2) Be sure to wear protective goggles. If the agent gets into eyes, wash immediately with clean water. If the eyes
begin to hurt, seek medical advice.
(3) Wear rubber gloves to avoid letting the agent come into contact with skin. If it comes into contact with skin,
immediately wash with soap and water.
(4) If accidentally swallowed, immediately induce vomiting and then seek medical advice.
