IN A WORD...
Comfortable Flame Retardant Clothing—it’s what
people are asking for. With so much of the same old
garments out there, BlazeTEX™ by Majestic offers
some of the most comfortable and innovative garments
available. The oil and gas, utility, electrical, contractor,
and petrochemical industry sectors prefer BlazeTEX™ to
protect their most important asset, their employees.
Our fabrics and garments are manufactured to rigid
specifications, achieving an unsurpassed quality.
Our twill finish combined with expert tailoring offers
the customer a fine garment built to their exact
requirements. Vivid, consistent colors enhance
the garment’s visibility and appearance.
Our garments are tailored and manufactured at dedicated
factories under the supervision of experienced quality control
professionals. We produce the full range of insulated and
non-insulated garments for year-round weather conditions,
including our “extreme” line up of products built for very
harsh cold climates. Coveralls, bibs, pants, shirts, jeans,
parkas and jackets represent the majority of the products.
Most of our customers use company identification and
logos combined with individual employee identification.
BlazeTEX™ garments represent the best value in Flame
Retardant protection in the industry and are designed
to exceed the needs of workers in the oil and gas,
utility, electrical, and petrochemical industries.
All of our products undergo continuous testing at
both the factory and at independent labs. Every
fabric run is tested to meet industry standards.

WE TEST OUR PRODUCTS
BEFORE YOU DO!
Just another reason why we say,
“Quality is No Accident.”
ASTM D6413 / D6413M
Abrasion Testing Machine
This test method determines the response
of textiles to a standard ignition source,
deriving measurement values for after flame
time, afterglow time, and char length.
The Nu-Martindale abrasion testing machine
precisely abrades the surface of a sample
material (leather, cotton, synthetic, etc.).
Based upon the change in the surface of the
material and the number of rubs (time) taken
for the change to occur, the material’s abrasion
resistance can be accurately measured.
The vertical flame resistance, as determined
by this test method, only relates to a specified
flame exposure and application time.
This test method maintains the specimen in a
static, draft-free, vertical position and does not
involve movement except that resulting from
the exposure.
Test Method D6413 has been adopted from Federal
Test Standard No. 191A method 5903.1, which has
been used for many years in acceptance testing.
4
The abrasion resistance of clothing material is
extremely important to the life of any garment
in a work environment. The longer a garment
lasts, the more financial savings can be realized
by the end user and the more confident a worker
becomes with the protective products they use.
Majestic routinely checks the abrasion resistance
of many items in the product line as well as new
materials being considered for its product line.

Color Consistency
Color consistency is very important. Majestic
receives a steady supply of material samples to
make sure that each batch looks like the other. You
expect uniformity in your uniforms, and so do we!
The Konica Minolta CM-2500C allows for the
measurement of color range, letting us know
how close color dyes are in every batch. It
also lets us confirm if garments truly meets
requirements for ANSI high visibility.

Knowing the Differences
There is some confusion in the market today
regarding certifications on FR clothing. Hopefully
we can help clear it up for you. Majestic clearly
labels inside its finished FR products the
appropriate certification for UL requirements.
There are a few garments you
may see with a logo like this:
What this logo means is that the garment is
UL listed and has been tested and found to
meet the applicable standards set forth.
There are also garments showing this logo:
This logo means the garment is manufactured
with UL recognized components (i.e. fabric, thread,
buttons, zippers, etc.) but has not been tested as a
standalone garment. This does not make the
garment any less safe, but it’s possible that
there was a need for this item in the market
before it could be tested as a standalone
item. Many items listed this way will
eventually become UL listed garments.
Please visit the UL website

PROTECTION LEVELS
We want to make it easy for you to choose the garment
that best fits your need. Watch for the following symbols –
they will let you know what your protection level is.
HOW DO YOU KNOW
IT'S WHAT YOU NEED?
What is ATPV?
HRC 1 PROTECTION
Arc Thermal Performance Value —
 expressed in Calories per
Centimeter2 (CAL/CM2). ATPV is a rating of protection capabilities of a
garment; the higher the value the more protection that it offers.
Arc-rated Flame Retardant shirt and Flame Retardant pants or
Flame Retardant coverall with a required minimum ATPV of 4.
What is HRC?
HRC 2 PROTECTION
Arc-rated Flame Retardant shirt and Flame Retardant pants or
Flame Retardant coverall with a required minimum ATPV of 8.
HRC 3 PROTECTION
Arc-rated Flame Retardant shirt and pants or Flame Retardant
coverall, and arc flash suit selected so that the system arc
rating meets the required minimum ATPV of 25.
Hazard Risk Categories is a level system corresponding to APTV values for easy
identification of hazard protection. Consult your safety manager or director
for an analysis of which level garment is needed to safely complete your job.

NFPA® 2112 / UL® CLASSIFIED
BlazeTEX™ Apparel offers flame-resistant protective garments that are certified
by Underwriter Laboratories to meet the requirements of the NFPA® 2112
Standard on Flame Resistant Garments for Protection of Industrial Personnel
Against Flash Fire, 2012 Edition. The NFPA® 2113 Standard on Selection,
Care, Use, and Maintenance of Flame Resistant Garments for Protection of
Industrial Personnel Against Flash Fire, 2012 Edition, requires that garments
cover the upper and lower body and flammable under layers as completely
as possible. BlazeTEX™ garments meet this requirement either as a single
garment, such as a coverall, or when worn with another certified garment,
such as a shirt or pants, to provide both upper and lower body coverage.

FABRIC
INFORMATION
BlazeTEX™ High
Performance Blended
We produce our certified fabrics from premium
cotton fibers combined with high tensile strength
nylon. The finished yarns are then woven into the
base fabric according to very stringent weaving
specifications. Following continuous testing
processes, the base fabric is dyed and Flame
Retardant treated. Rigorous testing of each
section of the finished goods is conducted at an
independent laboratory with verifiable test reports.
Woven
Many garments we have use a blend of Flame
Retardant material. They provide high levels of
protection but still provide soft cooling comfort.
Flame Retardant Disposables
BlazeTEX™ disposable garments are unique.
Made with an Flame Retardant SMS (Spundbond
Meltblown) material. These garments provide
light splash and water repellence, while
still providing excellent breathability.
Flame Retardant
High Visibility
Majestic has designed options for Flame
Retardant high visibility garments. Most
garments meet the ANSI/ISEA 107-2010
standard for high visibility protective clothing.
Thread
All non-disposable BlazeTEX™ garments use
Aramid high tenacity Flame Retardant thread.
Metal/Zippers
All metal on BlazeTEX™ garments are backed
to thermally protect the skin. We also use
high quality, heavy duty break open zippers.
We understand safety, and that is why
we go the extra mile in protection!
Health Concerns
and Comfort
Do you ever notice a strong odor when opening
a new Flame Retardant garment? A large portion
of Flame Retardant clothing is manufactured with
formaldehyde. As a commitment to you, we are
engaging in a campaign to lower the formaldehyde
content in our clothing to less than 100 ppm. By
doing this, we are also changing the cotton we use
to a longer grain fiber that is softer and requires less
formaldehyde to retain its flame retardant qualities.
American Cotton
Many of our garments are made with
100% Texas-grown cotton. Majestic is
pleased to make the commitment to source
American products whenever we can.

ADDED FEATURES
AND BENEFITS. IT'S
THE LITTLE THINGS!
It’s the little things that separate our
garments from many that you see in the
field. Most of our coveralls come standard
with leg zippers while most everyone
calls this an “add-on.” Here are some
other items you need to know about:
Customization
Yeah, we do that! Is there a feature you need
that you don’t see on our garments? Maybe you
need one flap pocket and a zipper pocket? Maybe
you need no pockets at all? Is there a color we
don’t offer and you need? Just talk to us! You’ll be
amazed at what we can come up with for you.
Striping
In today’s industrial setting, we have seen a myriad
of striping configurations. BlazeTEX™ by Majestic
is prepared to help you work through this. Let us
know if you are working on a site that has specific
requirements or you are beginning the process
of writing a requirement. We have the capability
to fulfill any striping request within reason.
Logos
Make a garment your own. Majestic has the ability
to logo a garment any way you see fit, provided it
does not interfere with any written standards. We
can add company logos, state patches, name badges
and just about anything in between. If you already
have patches, we can affix those for you as well.

Treatments — BugTEX
Flame Retardant
West Nile Virus is a very serious disease passed
through the common mosquito. It shows no sign
of slowing down so please do not discount what
its effects could be on your work force. When in
doubt, don’t go without. BugTEX Flame Retardant
is a treatment process that can be applied to Flame
Retardant garments that will literally stop a bug
dead. Not just a repellent, BugTEX Flame Retardant
will literally knock bugs down. It is a product that is
designed to disrupt the central nervous system of
insects (it’s basically like swatting them down, and
killing them). The treatment, pyrethrum, was originally
derived from the seed of the chrysanthemum. It’s
nice to know that your workers will be safe as well.
The process that we use in applying pyrethrum
allows it to protect for 75 washes! Garments can
still be retreated after the 75 washes. Contact your
Majestic representative for more information.
Treatments —
UV and Ventilation
Heat stroke and heat exhaustion are serious areas
of concern in the work force. Two options available
are UV treatment and Modacrylic ventilation.
The UV treatment is added during the dying
process of the material. Not just sprayed on the
material like normal treatments, our material
is saturated in a bath of it. This allows the UV
protection to stay on for 50 washes. Garments can
be retreated after the 50 washes. Contact your
Majestic representative for more information.
Modacrylic ventilation is an inherent material
that can be used in place of standard material in
strategic locations. Added to the armpit and back
areas, garments maintain their Flame Retardant
and Arc rated qualities, but now offer breathability.
