iPORT NTx-Pro2 Hardware Reference Design
Develop custom video interface hardware based on field-proven, GigE Vision-compliant technology
Develop Your Own Hardware
The iPORT™ NTx-Pro2 Hardware Reference Design allows system
and camera manufacturers to develop custom hardware based on
the technology in Pleora’s NTx-Pro embedded video interface. With
this reference design, manufacturers can tailor field-proven hardware
to meet specific requirements, shortening time-to-market, reducing
development and deployment risk, and lowering design and system
costs.
By tailoring their video interface hardware, manufacturers can
optimize boards for unique system or camera form factors, reduce
footprints, and cost-reduce parts procurement. Pleora’s engineering
team helps improve the quality of the final product by providing
in-depth analyses of board designs, schematics, layouts, and
components for issues related to EMI/EMC, power, heat, and
performance.
The iPORT NTx-Pro2 Hardware Reference Design contains:
• Schematics and sample layout files;
• Default backup and application FPGA loads;
• Bill of Materials with key extended temperature
components;
• Component obsolescence management; and
• Documentation.
Manufacturers can pair custom hardware with the off-theshelf FPGA load in Pleora’s field-proven iPORT NTx-Pro
Embedded Video Interface, or use the iPORT NTx-Pro IP Core
Package to create a custom FPGA load.
The NTx-Pro2 hardware reference design complies fully with the GigE
Vision®and GenICam™ standards, enabling products produced from
the design to interoperate seamlessly with other equipment in a
multi-vendor environment.

Design Review Services
Pleora’s design review services allow OEMs and systems
integrators to benefit from the depth and breadth of Pleora’s
expertise in designing hardware for high-speed video networking.
Our engineering team provides in-depth analyses of board
designs, schematics, layouts, and components for issues related
to EMI/EMC, power, heat, and performance. These analyses
improve the quality of the final product, speed time-to-market, and
vastly reduce risk.
Pleora’s services don’t end at deployment. We also assist with
post-production issues, such as component obsolescence. If
a component of the hardware reference design is discontinued
by the manufacturer, for example, Pleora designates a suitable
replacement and, if necessary, provides an updated FPGA load or
IP core.
Development Kit
The “quick start” Development Kit – which takes only a few
minutes to get up and running – enables OEMs and systems
integrators to experience the performance of Pleora’s
technology, prove concepts, and develop prototypes, even before
implementing the NTx-Pro2 Hardware Reference Design. The kit
includes:
• iPORT NTx-Pro Embedded Video Interface hardware, with
Pleora’s proven FPGA load
• Prober board, which provides easy access to the tightly packed
pins on the iPORT NTx-Pro hardware
• Power supply
• eBUS™ SDK
• Intel Pro 1000 NIC (network interface card), allowing
users to explore the benefits of Pleora’s optimized eBUS SDK
and drivers
