Social Media and Digital Marketing Intern:
The International Law Students Association is a non-profit association of students and lawyers who are dedicated to the
promotion of international law. ILSA provides students with opportunities to study, research, and network in the
international legal arena. The organization's activities include academic conferences, publications, the global
coordination of student organizations, and the administration of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court
Competition.
The Social Media and Digital Marketing Intern will support all functions related to marketing, social media, and other
projects. The ideal candidate will have an academic focus in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or
a related field. Our interns are members of our staff and given high-level responsibility. For that reason, applicants
should expect to take on important, worthwhile projects and be accountable for their completion.
Interns are expected to work 10-15 hours per week. This is an unpaid internship.
Responsibilities




Plan strategic uses for the organization’s social media outlets, develop content, and monitor those outlets for
interactions and feedback.
Update homepage news/announcements and develop new website content
Develop external marketing content for the promotion of events and programs
Draft a variety of communications including monthly newsletters and email announcements.
Skills/Requirements






Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from college (Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public
Relations and similar majors).
Must be located around the Washington D.C. Metro area.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to inform via written, oral, and visual media.
Knowledge of social media platforms and marketing campaigns.
An innovative self-starter with problem solving skills, creativity, ambition, and a strong work ethic.
Graphic design skills and knowledge of photo editing are desired but not required.
