Features - The motion detector on the solar model is shielded. It has an automatic temperature control to work in all types of weather. The solar panel has
a 15 foot cord so it can be mounted in a remote place away from the light. This will allow the light to gain maximum sun power. Motion detector adapters
are available for existing floodlights or lamp activators that can activate a floodlight or table lamp inside your home. A wireless home security floodlight
adapter (model 829-5710-0) can be used in a continuous or flashing mode for emergencies. It can be used outdoors or indoors. The wireless motion
detector (model 829-5720-0) uses four AA alkaline batteries, it detects motion and sends a signal to activate a light. Adapters have 256 programmable
code settings to meet specifications.

Features - The lanterns are wall-mount fixtures and have color-matched lens. SL4192 and SL4197 are made from cast aluminum in matte finishes of white,
black, rust, or verde. SL4184 is made of solid brass with a polished or antique brass finish. Some models have the "Dual Brite” 2-level lighting fixtures that
include a two light level motion sensor that operates in the accent mode — the light burns at half power of its normal brightness. When motion is detected,
the light automatically adjusts to full brightness. The accent mode is selectable for a 3-hour, 6-hour or dusk to dawn time period. In the security mode the
light will stay on for the time you have selected. Floodlights are available in bronze or white finish. Model SL5511 is a compact floodlight that uses one 150
watt bulb. The light can be turned on or off through an existing indoor wall switch. The light is deactiviated in the daylight. The range can be adjusted
bewteen 15 and 70 feet. The design is weatherproof and sealed to keep out wind and rain. Can be used under eaves or side wall installation. SL5212
works with existing light fixtures simply screw in the module and attach the motion sensor to the wall. SL7001 has an amorphous solar panel that will
operate up to 15 days on a full charge.

Security Lighting Tips
Effective use of outdoor lighting will protect
your home, make it more attractive and may even
increase its property value. The installation of light
fixtures with motion-sensing lights, timers or automatic dusk-to-dawn sensors is an energy-efficient
way for reliable and hassle-free use.
Twin Flood Lights — The best solution to lighting large areas. Install these lights at or above roof
level and point them towards the perimeter of your
property. They use standard halogen or incandescent bulbs.
Halogen Lights — If you have a smaller dark area
that needs to be lit, try halogen lights. They mount
overhead, focusing light downward and outward.
These lights are also available as metal halide or
fluorescent lamps.
Entryway Lighting — Some decorative lighting
fixtures can do double-duty as security lighting,
particularly around entryways.
Security lighting should fill in any shadows
and dark areas on your property, both to deter criminals and so that neighbors and security patrols can
see what is going on when you’re away. Be a good
neighbor, do not let lights shine in other’s windows.
Be sure that the light removes shadows left by trees
and bushes where an intruder could possibly hide
and keep the perimeter well-lit to deter prowlers
from entering your property through a neighbor’s
yard.
Garage — Install a spot light fixture above the
garage on the outside of your home to illuminate
your driveway. This will help keep intruders away
as you drive up and open the garage door.
Walkway/Porch — Adequate walkway and/or
porch lighting can help prevent accidents. For
walkways, a border of low-voltage landscape lights
works best. For entryways, decorative lanterns activated by motion sensors are a good choice. Many
of the decorative lanterns have adjustable motion
sensitivity and manual override so you can activate the light from a standard wall switch.
Yard — Use lights that have enough wattage to
illuminate all the way out to the perimeter of your
property. Install twin flood lights on the corner of
your house to cover more property with light. Make
sure that lights near the street are facing inward so
they don’t cause glare to drivers traveling down
the street.

Energy Saving Lighting Control Tips
Photocells — They react to changing outdoor light levels, making them perfect for lamp
posts and other exterior lighting. When the sun
goes down, the lights come on; when the sun
comes up, the lights go off.
Timers — Can help make your home
look lived-in while you’re away. There are models available with seven day settings, allowing
for different timings every day of the week.
Motion sensors — Are primarily used
for outdoor security lights. These units are also
Adding different lighting controls to your
lights and overhead fixtures can help you save
energy by adding light only when and where
you need it.
Dimmer switches — Ideal for “mood
lighting.” They can help you save energy and
extend bulb life. Some models combine a dimmer slide and an on/off switch. These units
allow you to set the light to the desired level
once, instead of sliding it up and down each
time.
great indoors, especially in stairwells, closets
and utility rooms. Instead of fumbling for a
light switch while your hands are full with laundry or groceries, a motion-sensing light switch
will automatically turn the light on for you.
Occupancy sensors — These are used
in many businesses and rely on body heat instead of motion. Motion sensors will eventually turn off the light if no motion is detected.
Occupancy sensors will keep the lights on as
long as the temperature in the room is constant.
