II. RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
CTO, BluSource Energy Inc., Portsmouth RI, 2012 - present. Engineering design, management, and
implementation of projects relating to renewable energy technology. Some relevant experience:




Designed and built a successful hydrokinetic electric power generator for Brown University,
Providence RI, and ARPAe; based on Brown’s Leading Edge foil technology. 2014-2015.
Presently designing a larger hydrokinetic unit for Brown and ARPAe. 2015-2016.
Re-engineered and rebuilt a hydrokinetic turbine (RivGen) for the Ocean Renewable Power

Designed, tested and successfully implemented a deployment system for the ORPC RivGen turbine,
launched and successfully deployed to the river bottom in Igiugig AK, 2013.

consulting related to mechanical engineering. Process and product development, web based engineering
applications, factory automation, and basic research. Some relevant experience:

2010-2013, Managed the modeling and simulation efforts for the TARDEC ULV ultra-light hybrid
electric vehicle program through Hardwire LLC, Pocomoke MD. Including hybrid electric drivetrain
modeling (PSAT), vehicle blast response modeling and survivability (LSDYNA), structural modeling
and stress analysis (CATIA), vehicle dynamics and control (ADAMS & CARSIM).

2012, Designed the ORPC RivGen hydrokinetic turbines through the fabricator Hall Spars, Bristol RI.
Founding member of the Cyclics Corporation, May 1999 – June 2004. Assessed the value of cyclic
thermoplastic technology developed by General Electric as applied to composites industry. This formulated

Founded General Composites Inc, May 1987. President 1987–1998. Provided consulting and structural
design services to customers in the composites industry. Developed proprietary computer controlled resin
