Product Bulletin Product Category: TVSS Bulletin No. & Date: PB2007-01-TVSS Author/Checked: Ryan Nguyen / Michael Mallia Circulation: AC, ED&C, P&S, Distributors and Resellers Subject: Announcing the new SPDi Range of Surge Diverters Professional, high performance surge protection designed for Australian conditions The SPDi series of surge diverters provides the ultimate solution for surge protection in single and multiphase systems at an affordable price. SPDi surge diverters can be installed as point-of-entry or sub-board protection and are connected in parallel with the power circuit via separate protection HRC fuses. These devices are ideal for Category C & B locations (ANSI/IEEE C62.41). The units are housed in a genuine DIN43880 profile enclosure, enabling them to be easily included in new designs or retrofitted into existing switchboards. The SPDi utilises state-of-the-art MOVs featuring embedded thermal fusing to ensure safe isolation during sustained and abnormal conditions. Integrated LED indicators show protection and individual MOV status with the added convenience of a dry-contact alarm to allow remote monitoring. Features and Benefits Top 5 Features Brass connection terminals with symmetrical current layout Benefits Lower impedance and reduced voltage drop across terminations. Equidistant terminals and PCB layout ensures perfectly balanced protection with symmetrical current distribution. Blue LED status indicators and dry-contact alarm Accurate and easy to follow operating status and protection level indication with the convenience of remote status monitoring. Thermally fused MOVs Ensures safe and reliable isolation during sustained over-voltage or abnormal conditions. Versatile mounting clips Innovative designed mounting clips allows for quick and easy installation on a DIN rail or surface mounted on a panel. Designed in Australia Professionally designed and tested to handle the harsh Australian conditions and real life supply voltage variations.
