THEREALBACKSTORY
Q:HowdidtheLionprogramreallystart?
A:Itbeganwhenacouncilortwosawaneedwithfamiliesandrespondedtomeetthatneed.They
servedthismarketandthenbroughtittotheattentionoftheNationalCouncil.Thecurriculumwas
reviewed,refinedandtestedwith4councils,kidsandadults,andexpertsineducation.Thenafterafew
years,itisnowexpandingtoaNationalPilottobroadenthetestingandgetfeedbackfromalarger
nationalsegment.
Q:WhatwerethequalificationsofthedevelopmentteamthatwrotetheLionpilot?
A:Thecurriculumwasdevelopedbyateamofexperts,includingrepresentationfromthefieldsof
childhooddevelopment,education,andchildpsychology.

car.Assuch,wesuggestyousavethatfunfortheTigerageandabove.Adifferenttypeoffun,racethemedeventatthepacklevel,though,mayindeedbeappropriate.Perhapsaspecialmatchboxcar
raceorsomethingsimilar.Adistrictevent,however,maybeoverwhelmingandgodeeperthanthe
introductorylevel.Perhapsbesttosavethoseexcitingdistrict/councileventsuntiltheboysareabit
olderandcanparticipateinthemmorefully.Yourkeendiscretionandjudgmentshouldguidewhatyou
