CourseDescription:
BuildinguponMGMT3600,courseprovidesamoredetailedexaminationofmotivation,leadership,groupprocess,
decisionmaking,jobdesign,andorganizationaldevelopment.Inadditiontoprovidingmoredetailintermsofcontent,
thiscourseprovidesthestudentwithconsiderablepracticalexperiencethroughtheuseofclassexercises,projects,and
classdiscussions.
MyGateway:ThiscoursewillutilizeMyGateway.Iwillpostassignments,notes,classexercises,aswellas
announcementsregardingtestdates,duedates,schedulechanges,andgrades.Itwillbecriticalthatyoucheckthesite
frequently.Youshouldbecomefamiliarwiththeprogramifyouhavenotalready.

Project#1:CulturalAuditofchosencompany.Youwilldoaculturalanalysisofacompany(includesbutnot
limitedtoasummarydescriptionoforganization,discussionofpresentorganizationalcultureincludingall
culturalartifacts,ETC.
Project#2:ChangeImplementationAnalysisforproject#1company.Yoursecondprojectisbasedonthe
followinghypotheticalscenario:yourcompany(fromproject#1)isgoingthroughsignificantstructuralchange.
Yourjobasachangeagentistoproposetouppermanagementhowtoencouragetheemployeesofyour
companytoembracetheupcomingchanges.Theproject#2write-upshouldconsistofyouranalysisofthe
effectsofsignificantchangeontheorganization’sworkforceandtheproposedactionstoaddressthechange
impactonemployeeattitudesandbehaviors.
Extracredit:
• Attendanceandparticipation:Toencourageattendanceandparticipation,attendancepointswillbegivenfor
someclassesandwillbeconsideredextracredit.Theclassesforwhichparticipationwillcountforextracredit
