Unlisted classifications needed for work not included within
the scope of the
classifications listed may be added after award only as
provided in the labor
standards contract clauses (29 CFR 5.5(a)(1)(ii)).
----------------------------------------------------------------In the listing above, the "SU" designation means that rates
listed under the
identifier do not reflect collectively bargained wage and
fringe benefit
rates. Other designations indicate unions whose rates have
been determined
to be prevailing.
----------------------------------------------------------------WAGE DETERMINATION APPEALS PROCESS
1.) Has there been an initial decision in the matter? This can
be:
* an existing published wage determination
* a survey underlying a wage determination
* a Wage and Hour Division letter setting forth a position on
a wage
determination matter
* a conformance (additional classification and rate) ruling
On survey related matters, initial contact, including
for summaries
of surveys, should be with the Wage and Hour Regional
for the area in
which the survey was conducted because those Regional
have
responsibility for the Davis-Bacon survey program. If

Each Classroom or lab shall have two occupancy sensors LMDC-100.
The location of the sensors indicated on the floor plans are for reference. The contractor shall locate the
occupancy sensors per the manufactures recommendations such that the occupancy sensors activate the
lighting when an occupant is less than two feet into the room. The sensitivity settings and operation shall be
part of the factory commissioning of the system.
The dual technology sensors shall require both technologies to active the lighting but require PIR only to
maintain the lighting ON, the Ultra-sonic technology shall then be deactivated to eliminate conflicts with the
classroom projector systems. The time out function of the PIR shall be set at 20 minutes with a warn-off at 19
minutes. In the event the lighting is manually turned off, it shall require manual ON until the PIR timeout
period, at which time system is returned to unoccupied mode.
Clarification - Detail General Note 1: The lighting control system for each classroom or lab shall operate as a
stand-alone system and all of the classroom and lab systems shall be networked together and connected to a
central control location allowing the owner to adjust individual device settings of each device throughout the
project from one location. Provide all cabling, components, and software required. Operation of the
networked system is to be included in the owner training.
Detail General Note 5 is added as follows: The photocell shall be installed and adjusted per the
manufactures recommendations. The photocell(s) shall be adjusted to maintain a minimum lighting level
equal to the lighting levels when the lights are at 100% brightness with no supplemental contribution.
Photocell commissioning shall include adjustments to the setting during both daytime and nighttime hours to
ensure proper lighting levels are maintained.

See the attached RFI from Architectural Glass & Glazing: There are some problems with
the Curtainwall entries in regards to the structural problems the AA and AC openings.
There is a horizontal steel beam to aid with the wind loading but there is nothing there to aid
with the dead loading especially with vertical door frames not extending past the door
header and the verticals above the door openings landing in the middle of the door
openings; please advise.
Tom Reeder, Architectural Glass & Glazing
Submitted by: Jackie Phelps
Response:
Per conversation with Paul Cannon with Kawneer and Frame Type AA is fine as is.
Type AC will require an additional 4x4 tube steel beam at the door head to be supported by the tube
columns on either side of the vestibule. The beam will need to be 15'-10”.

In section 210000 – Fire Sprinkler Systems, part 2.2-A-12 states, “Sprinkler heads in the main entry and
main first floor corridor shall be concealed flush mounted style with white paintable covers.”
My question: What qualifies as “main first floor corridor?”
I would assume it is Corridor 151. However it merges together with Corridors 135 and 102 right next to the
main entry of the school.
Could you please clarify this for me?
Submitted by: Jackie Phelps

Per addendum 2"
Section 210000:
• Clarification:
'Main first floor corridor' referenced for locations where flush mounted sprinkler heads shall be
installed includes the following Corridors: 102, 103, 135, and 151.
