We understand the design and operational challenges associated with mechanical and electrical systems serving performing arts centers and specifically consider the following: - Acoustics/Sound Control - Temperature and Humidity Control - Theatrical lighting and dimming systems -Theatrical Audio Visual Systems -System Operational Flexibility and Efficiency -Aesthetics PERFORMING ARTS Functional, flexible, efficient and sustainable design concepts go in every project we complete. We understand that Performing Arts Centers can enhance a student’s social and educational experience as well as provide a significant resource for the university and local community. This multiuse approach carries through our design as we work to actively integrate not only the complex systems within a building but the building architecture with its systems. Barton Education provides a team that is dedicated and focused to the specific acoustic and performance needs of today’s performing arts centers. Our team understands the importance of gaining early and detailed involvement from the various project stakeholders to clearly identify the mechanical and electrical requirements including temperature and humidity control, theatrical lighting systems, acoustic control systems and sound systems. Our dedicated team of engineers works diligently to understand the specific needs of each type of performance space as well as supporting spaces such as recording studios, rehearsal rooms and classrooms. We strive to maximize flexibility while maintaining system performance. We are experienced in working closely with University faculty, students and staff as well as audio visual and acoustic consultants and vendors to ensure that the necessary MEP system infrastructure and interfaces are in place to support full operation of the space. Whether you are developing a full theatrical venue or a small black box theater you are developing a space that is highly specialized with unique systems that require detailed coordination between designers, installers and users. You can be confident that Barton Education has the experience to focus on the right details at the right time to provide a thorough and coordinated design.
