This coarse will help students develop sound money management skills and gain knowledge about the financial
planning process.. Students will begin to develop the positive behaviors that are necessary to attaining financial
maturity and achieving a secure future.
The curriculum is designed around, but not limited to the following sets of target competencies, learning objectives
and performance standards:

Using Credit Wisely

Careers Choice
Good/Bad Debt
Students will use the NEFE High School Financial Planning Program along with Financial Literacy for Teens by
Chad Foster. Students will participate in interactive projects, assignments, and assessments as a means to apply
what they have learned and a measure of their knowledge.

This is a new chapter in my life, the chance to teach the business curriculum. I look forward to your dedication and
commitment to all our classes in the business department. Though there are many theoretical scenarios in all three
books, the practical application is priceless. Everyone can benefit from this class and should be financially
sophisticated.
