Input signal: Input signals are CMOS compatible. Positive logic (High = IGBT on). The signal at X1.4 is for top IGBT and X1.2 is for bottom IGBT. b. Short circuit protection: Short circuit protection is provided by measuring the collector-emitter voltage. In the case of a short circuit, the IGBT is turned off immediately. An error memory prevents the IGBT from being turned on again. X1.3 is for short circuit indication. It is an open collector output. LOW = NO ERROR. The ERROR signal may be disabled either by delivering zero to both signal inputs (RESET) or by switching the power supply off. The RESET signal width must be more than 9uS long. Figure 2: Driver status information ERROR and RESET c. Output gate resistors Rgon, Rgoff: These resistors are responsible for the switching speed of each IGBT.
