Salzburg’s old town not only offers impressive sights and monuments, but also enchants visitors
with splendid shopping-facilities. Getreidegasse and Linzer Gasse on the other side of the
Salzach-river are two of the most important shopping-lanes of the old-town. The beautiful
arcades and passages formerly served as alleyways to the Salzach-river. Today, they
accommodate shops, galleries, bars and inns, which invite to shopping, wining & dining. More than
800 shops offer a great range of different products.
