Welcome to Spring and Issue 9 of my Quarterly Market Comment
As we head towards the end of winter, we can expect to see more stock becoming available
with the spring peak-selling season fast approaching. If you are contemplating a move,
I would suggest you do not delay - stock is so incredibly scarce at the moment and this could
seriously increase your sales price. Why wait for the buyers to have more choice!

On a more personal note...
Whilst we have all been enjoying the Kiwis success in Rio - we have also
been extremely fortunate to accompany our son Seb to Portugal where he
represented NZ at the Optimist World Sailing Championships. Like many Kiwi
kids his desire to potentially represent NZ at the Olympics one day has certainly
been fuelled by our teams’ success - Go NZ!

“Trials and tribulations of our Olympic hero’s on the global stage have reminded us that the race may be
short, but preparation is everything.
Timely then that we have been gearing up for our September Big Call promotion, which is New Zealand’s
single largest property event. Bayleys is offering sellers the confidence to take their home to market
with incentives such as heavily discounted marketing, unparalleled support and a nationwide campaign
garnering television, radio and magazine coverage.
Activity on the North Shore has remained largely unchanged from figures reported in
August, with the average sale price up 13 percent compared with the same
quarter last year. While properties are selling at an average of 34 days on the
market, the issue of supply versus demand is still at the forefront of our
minds as we look to the warmer months for some encouragement.”
