ACCEPTANCE OF
LITTLEFORK-BIG FALLS SCHOOL DISTRICT
COMPUTING AND INTERNET SAFETY POLICIES
Please review the attached packet, sign the agreement, and return it to your home room teacher.
Computer access and iPad’s will not be issued to students until this form has been signed and
returned.
To protect the integrity of the computer system against unauthorized or improper use, and to
protect authorized users from the effects of unauthorized improper usage of the system, the
District reserves the rights to: limit or restrict any account holder’s usage, inspect, copy, remove
or alter any data, file, or system resources which may undermine the authorized use of that
system with or without notice to the user. The District reserves the right to periodically check
the system and any other rights necessary to protect the District computing facilities.
The District disclaims responsibility for loss of data or interference with files resulting from its
efforts to maintain the privacy and security of the District’s computer facilities. Users of the
District facilities are required to comply with the District’s Computing Policy, and by using the
system, the user agrees to comply with and be subject to the conditions of computer use. The
District reserves the right to amend this policy at any time with or without notice.
I have read and fully understand the Computing and Internet Safety Policies set forth by the
District and agree to use District computing facilities in accordance with said policies. I
acknowledge the right of the management of the computer labs and facilities to inspect, when
necessary as a function of responsible system management, all files stored on the District
computing facilities.
I understand that upon violation of the terms of this agreement, the District reserves the right to
deny future computing privileges at all District locations. I understand that I may also be subject
to further disciplinary action by staff, the Technology Director, Dean of Students and/or
Superintendent, as well as legal action by the owners and licensers of proprietary software for
violation of copyright laws and license agreements.
If a student opts out of having an iPad, a letter indicating this will need to be signed by the
parent(s)/guardian(s), stating the reason(s) why. Please understand that the student is still
responsible for meeting all course requirements.
Access to technology in the Littlefork-Big Falls School District has been established for
educational purposes. The use of the Littlefork-Big Falls School District’s electronic
technologies is a valued resource to our community. All electronic technologies must be used in
support of the educational program of the District. This access may be revoked at any time for
abusive or inappropriate conduct related to the use of electronic technologies. Failure to comply
with the District’s Policies or the guidelines stated in this document for care and use of the iPad
may result in the loss of privilege to take the iPad home or use the iPad in general.
***Please note: Content supervision outside of normal school hours is applied by the
district but it is ultimately the responsibility of the parent or guardian to monitor their
children’s internet use. I accept the responsibility for the content my child views outside of
normal school hours.
The iPad is the property of Littlefork-Big Falls Public Schools and as a result may be seized
and reviewed at any time. The student should have NO expectation of privacy for materials
found on an iPad.

Individual school iPad and accessories must be returned to the Littlefork-Big Falls Media
Center at the end of each school year in good working order. Students who graduate early,
withdraw, are suspended or expelled, or terminate enrollment at Littlefork-Big Falls
School District for any other reason must return their individual school iPad and
accessories on the date of termination.
