CONDITIONS OF NETWORK MEMBERSHIP
The Consortium for Street Children (CSC) is the leading international network dedicated to realising the
rights of street children worldwide. We are Louder Together.
Organisations may be eligible for network membership of the Consortium for Street Children providing they
meet the following conditions and expectations:







Join CSC in being Louder Together for street children
Enclose a signed copy of CSC’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection (below). Note that
signing the statement commits your organisation to having a child protection policy or developing
one within six months of joining CSC
Agree to keep CSC informed about any relevant changes in the organisation which affect conditions
of membership
Agree that any private documents accessed within the password protected sections of CSC’s
Online Resource Centre (e.g. the Shared Learning Hub and/or Research Hub) are not shared
externally of the network
Are registered with the Charity Commission/equivalent (NGOs only)
Complete CSC’s annual network survey, sent to the network at the start of each year (this is
anonymous and take approximately 15 minutes to complete. It informs CSC’s strategy)
Pay promptly any sums due to CSC. Note that membership commences on receipt of payment;
subsequent years’ membership payments are due in January and cover the period January to
December
CSC reserves the rights to withhold network membership, or to suspend or terminate current membership,
if any of the above conditions are not adhered to. CSC network membership is at CSC’s discretion.
NETWORK FEE
£250 for UK-based members / $250 for international members per calendar year (January to December)
£150 for individual members (who must be personally known to an NGO member to apply).

clear understanding of their child protection responsibilities
Supporting those who report suspected/actual child abuse, neglect, violence and
exploitation
Recognising the importance of children’s participation in the design and
implementation of our child protection policy, practices and programmes, helping our
organisation to identify and meet children’s needs
Fostering a collaborative approach to child protection, working with our partner
organisations and others to support the development of theirs and our child
protection policies, practices and programmes
Ongoing monitoring of the effectiveness of our child protection policy, practices and
programmes
