Accordingtoresearchers*,educationandtrainingtomakeyouawareofyourbiasesdoeslittletolessen yournon-consciousrelianceonthem.Inotherwords,biasesworkonussofastandsopowerfullyit’s extremelydifficulttocatchandreverseourselvesintheact. So,howcanexpandingyournetworkhelpshort-circuittheunconsciousbiasmechanism? Whodoyougotowhenyouhavetosolveaproblem?Doyouwalkdownthehall(orinstantmessage)to thesameteammatewhoseestheworldexactlyasyoudoandconfirmsyourbestandbrightestideas?Or doyouactivelyseekoutalternativepointsofview?Whodoyouincludeinyouractivenetworkandare theyhelpingyouexpandyourperspectiveandpossiblyexposeandundoyourbiases?Howcanyou intentionallyexpandyournetworktoinvitediverseperspectives?Whocanyoubeginforming relationshipswithtohelpyouseeproblemsandideasthroughanotherperson’seyes?
