The LINUX Box LB3 is a full-fledged industrial PC
designed for top-hat rail mounting.
Due to its versatile interfaces, the compact LINUX
Box LB3 is ideally suitable for performing
peripheral tasks such as open- and closed-loop
controlling, data acquisition, telemaintenance,
protocol conversion, and embedded computing.
The Linux operation system (Kernel 2.6) and
extensive network services such as HTTP, SSH,
FTP and Telnet are already pre-installed.

Digital inputs/outputs
The LB3 has been designed to be integrated into switch cabinets of machines, facilities, or buildings,
and its suitability for industrial application is especially convincing. An x86-compatible operation
system such as Windows CE or Free DOS can be used as an alternative to the Linux operating
system. In the basic version the LB3 is equipped with a main memory of 128 MB and a bulk memory
(CompactFlash) which can be optionally expanded to 128 GB.

inputs/outputs, and the option to extend IO

customers to cover a wide range of freely
scalable applications.
