Summer Reading Club
This summer, GO WILD with reading.
Escape the everyday, step outside the
ordinary and seek the unknown and
untamed through reading with the
TD Summer Reading Club (TDSRC).
In 2015 Orangeville’s TDSRC members
collectively read an impressive 4,689
books. This summer the Orangeville Public
Library challenges its TDSRC members to
GO WILD and read 5,000 books!

Come and register for the 2016 TD
Summer Reading Club! Help us kick-off a
summer of reading and fun at the
Orangeville Public Library. Games and
activities for the whole family.
Each book read is a chance to win a grand
prize. Visit the library throughout the
summer to report on books read, collect
stickers and play games.

Ready, Set… Read!
Children in Grades 1 to 3, with a parent

Alder Street - Program Room
The Ready Set Read program is designed
to teach parents how to sustain reading
skills over the summer in a fun and
interactive environment. Each week, for
six weeks, a teacher from Dufferin-Peel
Catholic District School Board will model a
variety of reading comprehension strategies.
You will receive a parent & reader toolkit to
help support summer reading.
This program is open to all children in
Grades 1 to 3 and requires no registration.
July 28 @ Murray’s Mountain
All ages welcome
Each week Lesley & Shannon will be at a
different park reading stories, playing with
puppets & singing songs under the sun - they
can’t wait to see you there! Don’t forget your
blankets, hats & sunscreen.
Please note, this is a fair weather program that
will not run if there is rain.
We are preparing for renovations at the Mill Street Library. Stay tuned for
updates about our exciting plans for the children’s area!
