Lenses made of SILICONE
The LEDs of latest generation - High Brightness LEDs and COB LEDs – achieve very high temperatures which could put strain
on the conventional polymers such as PMMI, PMMA and PC. The typical features of silicone make silicone lenses perfect for
outdoor applications or indoor applications in damp and wet environments:
• High temperature resistant; considerably reduce the yellowing effect.
• NO need for extra protection: glass or gasket for IP.
• As an isotropic material, silicone provides the lenses with high flexibility allowing easy fit to the final application.
• As an elastomer, silicone provides the lens with an excellent compensation capability that well meets the requirements of

Outdoor. Nema Optical System is a panel madeup of 36 optics designed for most popular Power
LEDs.
NEMA SYSTEMS maximize the light flux from the Power LEDs through their optics, so creating a
perfect and high-efficient beam typically characterized by the NEMA standards. The high optical
efficiency of NEMA SYSTEMS combined with the high intensity from the Power LEDs lead to an
optical system able to guarantee high lighting performance while being a real cost-effective and

Lenses Enable FREE FORM & CUSTOM DESIGN
Real on-hand solution for immediate application in your lighting fixtures. It is an optical bar made up
of six lenses. The bar is clear fine-frosted finish while the optics are clear gloss. The optical bars can
be combined together by placing them side by side up to max six bars. You are given the opportunity
to customize your optical module and create the structure you prefer. BARSIX is IP protected, rating
IP65. Comes with the silicone gasket placed in the perimeter groove: excellent for outdoor
applications or indoor applications in damp and wet environments. Compliance with IESNA TYPE III,
TYPE IV, and ME3 Standards makes BARSIX perfect for any application in Street Lighting. While being

OPTICAL SYSTEMS
Designed for most popular LEDs, KHATOD TANK is engineered for use in hard jobsite conditions
typical of construction industry. It is highly dependable, versatile and easy to use. Provided with a
holder in black PC, ensures robust and firm housing in the final application and allows the LED panel
to be fully embedded into the back of the module. On request, it is available IP protected, rated IP65.
It meets a great variety of applications, from confined spaces to major plants. Perfect to be used in
light towers as well as in portable lighting: mounted on a tripod, portable pedestals, portable lights or
headlamps. TANK withstands rough handling while providing maximum scene lighting in hard-toreach areas such as accident scenes, road and urban works.

STRIP LENSES
Designed to suit most of the SMD LEDs used to build long strips, or when using most popular
HB LEDs. Excellent both with white and color LEDs.
• Optic type: TIR lenses manufactured through injection molding process, made of optical grade
PMMA. They ARE NOT manufactured through plastic extrusion process.
• Beam angles: Symmetric & Asymmetric.
• Optic size: 200mm (l) x 12.5mm (w) x 8.5mm (h). Join the strip lenses end to end to make a
continuous lighting effect and create desired lengths.
• Lighting Efficiency > 89%.
• Aluminum extrusion holders are available on request: 600mm long, can hold up to 3 strips and can
be cut to size to realize desired lengths. Lenses and extrusions are supplied separately. You are

optical design: anti-glare and non-yellowing effect. Made of special PC for high optical performance;

molded optical modules designed for most popular LEDs. Their unique shape offers a real alternative
to the traditional systems. On request, the modules are available IP protected by placing a silicone
gasket into the groove around the perimeter edge. This makes Nactus Smile fit for use in a wide
range of applications both indoor and outdoor. Nactus Smile is available in 8 different 12-lensmodules.

protected, rating IP65, with a silicone gasket placed in the perimeter groove. Ensure protection
against powder and water ingress. Excellent for outdoor applications or indoor applications in damp
and wet environments. The cable entrance service is provided by a pocket on one side of the panel
that works also as a benchmark for the correct mounting of the panel. The pocket must be directed
toward the support of the luminaire: pole, wall, peg, etc.

GAIA
OPTICAL SYSTEMS
Engineered for Street Lighting using most popular Multichip LEDs, deliver excellent performances
also in any application in general lighting, in wide and high-bay areas. GAIA is a linear lens-array
made of 3 Free Form Optics that perform as a real single lens. GAIA maximizes the light output from
the Multichip LEDs through its optics, so creating a perfect and high-efficient beam directed to the
street side or the area to be illuminated. The optics are made of special PMMA able to withstand the
high temperatures emitted by the Multichip LEDs. GAIA SYSTEMS are also available with a reflector
device which will help increase further the luminous flux from the LEDs towards the street side. A
hollow space provides the housing for the electrical connectors. On request, can come IP protected,
rating IP 65, by placing a silicone gasket in the perimeter groove.
Features: High efficiency, over 85% - very clean, precise and uniform spot – Allows to create

Coating Technology
Khatod is one of the most advanced companies in Lighting, unique with
own Vacuum Treatment Plant specifically customized for the coating of
our Optical Reflector Systems developed for the new generation of COB
and High Brightness LEDs. While allowing a huge variety of new and
innovative applications in Lighting, these new LEDs need proper optical
solutions to optimize and maximize their high power for a brilliant
performance. Already some years ago, Khatod intercepted the growing
request from the Lighting Market for optical solutions able to cope with
the challenging requirements posed by COB and HB LEDs. New
technologies needed to be explored and developed. As usual, the
response from Khatod was immediate.
In early 2012, Khatod equipped its Production Department with the most
advanced Vacuum Coating Plant based on the latest PVD (Physical Vapour
Deposition) technology. The treatment process includes also the Plasma
Technology: Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapour Deposition (PECVD) is an
innovative process allowing a specific anticorrosive treatment.
Khatod vacuum treatment plant is not a common equipment for general
use, as most of the coating plants available on the market. Instead, our
plant has been projected and realized exclusively for the specific coating
of optical reflectors for LED applications. Thanks to this innovative coating
process, Khatod Reflectors achieve superior optical performances, up to
37% higher than the optical efficiency of common reflectors treated
through a standard coating process. Also, this technology allows the
treatment of plastic materials of new generation, heat-resistant over
250°C (482°F), since the vacuum ensures the ideal conditions needed for
a perfect uniform compact coating.
Khatod Vacuum Treatment Plant exclusively uses organic materials
avoiding any emission of waste substances that can pollute the
environment and disrupt the climate. The working operations are totally
ZERO EMISSION.

Optical Reflectors for COB LEDs
Available in 3 macro-families - 65, 90, 110 mm Ø - metalized and embossed finish. Special
adaptors, customized for the major HB COB LEDs, allow easy mounting onto the COB LED by a
simple twist & lock system: fasten the adaptor onto the PCB with two screws; twist & lock LYRA onto
the adaptor by a simple rotation. The adaptors allow for the interchangeability of LYRA models on the
same LED source. Made of special PCHT, are aluminum coated with additional protective layer.
Coating operations are executed in our special VACUUM COATING TREATMENT PLANT. Can be
equipped with a proper diffusing lens to be mounted on top of the reflector. Helps performing a soft
smooth light spread, while delivering an effective dust and antiglare protection.

Optical Diffusers - Aluminate Material
Implement the new Photoluminescence Technology based on ALUMINATES, natural rare earth
mineral crystals. When the LED is OFF, LUNA DIFFUSERS glow on in the dark for several hours
thanks to their photoluminescent properties. Available in GREEN and BLUE glowing flux. Adaptors,
customized for the individual models of the major HB COB LEDs, allow easy assembling of the
diffuser onto the COB LED through our exclusive twist & lock system; also, allow to exchange LUNA
models on the same LED source.
