RESIDENTIAL LIGHTING
Lighting That Brings
A Home to Life
Lighting has a tremendous influence on
the look and feel of a room. The right
illumination can enhance the drama of
an entranceway, make a living room
cozier or transform an ordinary backyard
into an oasis. Whether it’s to make daily
chores a little brighter or evenings more
relaxing, MaxLite offers a complete line
of energy-efficient LED lamps and
fixtures to set the right mood in every
area of the home, inside and out.
MaxLite’s line of residential products
includes recessed cans, retrofits, ceiling
fixtures, replacement lamps and outdoor
fixtures, all designed to increase the
quality of light and lower energy bills for
homeowners. Our lamps and luminaires
offer many convenient, energy-saving
features, such as dimming on indoor
models and automatic daylight shut-off
and motion sensors on outdoor models.
MaxLite LED products offer many
benefits over incandescent and CFL
bulbs. Not only are they more durable,
they contain no mercury or other
hazardous materials, do not emit ultraviolet or infrared rays during operation,
last up to 100,000 hours and do not
burn out (they become dimmer after
their lifetime).

MaxLite LED Fixtures and Lamps Deliver Substantial Energy Savings
for New Jersey Home Renovation
“Everyone that sees our kitchen is very
impressed. Many of our friends have
heard about LEDs but don’t understand
what they are. They never realized that
this new technology could achieve such
a high level of lighting while creating a
cozy feeling throughout our home.”
-- Cheryl Fenimore
Homeowner
In a Jackson, New Jersey home renovation project, the homeowners were looking for energy-efficient lighting in their kitchen
and bathroom that would reduce utility costs and be compatible
with utility rebates. Inside the kitchen, standard dimmers create
various light levels and convert Plug-and-Play LED Lightbars
into night lights so family members can enter the home easily
in the evening or visit the kitchen for a late night snack. Four
6-watt lightbars were installed in kick plates for toe space lighting,
five 9-watt warm white lightbars enable clear visibility for the
often dimly lit countertop spaces, two warm lightbars bring out
the warm brown colors of the coffee bar, and six 9-watt daylight
color lightbars project a whiter, crisper light on top of the
cabinetry for effective cove lighting. Additionally, warm white
Marquee LED lamps illuminate decorative pendants over the
counter, while PAR38s and new LED Recessed Downlights
provide optimal ambient lighting in the kitchen. Above the
fireplace, the 12-watt PAR30 LEDs provide general lighting.
Inside the bathroom, three LED A Type 7.5-watt lamps were
used in the vanity light while four others were installed in a flush
mount fixture. The LED Lightbars will save $4,081 in energy
costs throughout the lifetime of the fixtures, compared to
fluorescent fixtures. The three 2-watt Marquee lamps replace a
40-watt incandescent for $289 in energy savings over a 10-year
period. Four PAR38s replaced four 65-watt incandescent lamps
for a savings of $130 over 10 years, while the five new 14-watt
six-inch downlights replaced 65-watt incandescent lamps,
reducing electricity costs by more than $180 over 10 years.
Three LED A Type lamps replaced seven 40-watt A19 incandescents for electricity savings of more than $170 across a decade.

MaxLite LED Lightbars Featured on DIY Network’s “Bath Crashers”
More than 50 million American households have viewed
MaxLite’s LED Lightbars on “Bath Crashers” on DIY Network.
In Episode 404, “Basement Bathroom Overhaul”, the lightbars
were installed discreetly in three handmade light boxes that
were installed on the bathroom wall. Four lightbars were
installed around the perimeter of each light box, creating
unobtrusive light sources to add a nice glow to the panes of
glass in the center of the boxes. In addition to the lightboxes,
the LED Lightbars were installed under the countertop of the
bathroom vanity, which made the glass surface glow above. The
host proudly boasted the long-lasting 50,000-hour life of the
energy-efficient fixtures.
The original bathroom was dark and dreary and shown with
outdated furnishings. After the bathroom’s demolition and
reconstruction, the homeowners were brought to tears of joy
after witnessing the bathroom’s stunning makeover. The new
sink, shower, hardware and lighting yielded a clean, cool and
modern look.

MaxLite Saves Maryland Homeowner Nearly $10,000 in
Energy with Outdoor Lighting Retrofit
“Before, the light bulbs were blowing
out left and right, and maintenance was
a nightmare. The new long-life LED
lights are durable and so bright that
you can see the fountain clearly in the
pitch-dark night down the quarter-mile
path that leads from the back courtyard.
The view is so striking that it looks like
a hologram to see the lights around the
fountain glow and the water sparkle
from such a far distance. The owner
loved the end result so much he called
me in the middle of the night to come
over and see how it looked. It was surreal.”
-- Shane Hresko
CEO, Bmore Green
The owner of Radcliffe Jewelers, a premier retailer of luxury
merchandise, was in need of new lighting fixtures that save
energy and reduce maintenance and replacement time at his
home in Ruxton, Maryland. At the end of a quarter-mile path
that cuts through the woods and leads to a courtyard at the
owner’s sprawling mansion lays a large white fountain with
an open-winged swan at its center. The homeowners had to
change out the lamps that light the fountain two to three times
per year, oftentimes finding the bulbs blown out. Then even
once they replaced the bulbs, sometimes the bulbs would
not work, or they would soon burn out again. Bmore Green
replaced two 500-watt metal halide flood lights with two of
MaxLite’s 30-watt LED Small Flood Lights that illuminate
the fountain at night. In this same location, two 150-watt
metal halide flood lights were replaced with two of MaxLite’s
14-watt LED Small Flood Lights. The LED lights will save
the homeowner $2,714 and $7,175 in energy respectively
throughout its lifetime, for a total of $9,889 in energy savings
alone.
