BUILDINGS AND BUILDING REGULATIONS § 22-122 DIVISION 2. ELECTRICAL CODE* Sec. 22-122. Amendments, exceptions and modifications. The following are exceptions and modifications of the National Electrical Code, as provided for in section 22-121: (1) Metal conduit. Flexible metal conduit can be used as a conduit material in any structure requiring conduit wiring, unless the National Electrical Code requires a higher grade of conduit. (2) Knob-and-tube work prohibited. In all new work or revisions of old work, the knoband-tube wiring system shall not be used for interior wiring in the city. (3) Steel conduit. Steel conduit shall be required on all electric wiring installed after the effective date of Ordinance No. 0-03-98 in or on all buildings located within the fire limits of the city, and on all commercial, industrial, and public buildings, schools and churches within the city limits. The term ''fire limits" shall mean and include the district contained within such limits as they exist at the time of the installation o r performance of electrical work.
