Door defeat mechanism
If the handle is ON, a door cannot be
opened unless the door defeat
mechanism is used. The door defeat
is accessed by drilling a 2.5 mm hole
through the mechanism side to a
depth of 5 mm - see locator hole.
A small object can then be inserted
to activate the door defeat.
It should be noted that once a hole
is made the IP rating of the handle
changes from IP65 to IP44.
