Know what hypoglycaemia means (1)
Understand that hypoglycaemia is defined as a blood glucose level below 3.5 mmol/l, with or without symptoms (1)
 Demonstrate the ability to work out 1½-2 CPs of rapid acting carbohydrate (2)
Measuring blood glucose is essential to diagnose hypoglycaemia (5)
The need to react to the warning signs immediately (5)
Demonstrate the ability to measure out appropriate hypoglycaemia treatments (2)
They should take rapid-acting carbohydrates as soon as they detect and confirm their blood glucose is below 3.5 mmol/l (5)
