Toassureuniformqualityandmaterialconfiguration,nochangesinmaterials,construction,sourceorperformanceshallbe
made for the item(s) not covered by this order without prior approval from TT Electronics. The supplier is expressly
prohibited from supplying nonconforming material to TT Electronics without advance approval. Material Review Board
reviewanddispositionofnonconformingmaterialshallbethesoleresponsibilityofTTElectronics.
Q21GovernmentSourceInspection
GovernmentSourceInspectionisrequiredpriortoshipment.Uponreceiptofthisorder,thesupplierwillpromptlynotify

agency),rightofaccesstothefacilityandallrecordsrelatedtoproductorderedbyTTElectronicsoroneofitssuppliers.
TTElectronicsreservestherightforTTElectronics,aTTElectronics’customer,oraspecifiedthirdparty
(customer/regulatoryagency),toperformanauditorinspectionatthesupplier’sfacility.Suchverificationshallnotbeused
asevidenceofeffectivecontrolofquality.Thisverificationdoesnotabsolvethesupplieroftheresponsibilitytoprovide
acceptableproduct,anddoesnotprecludeanysubsequentrejectionbyTTElectronicsoritscustomer.
E-Q3.0Sub-TierSelection/Control&ContractRequirementFlow-downtoSub-TierSuppliers
TTElectronicsreservestherighttospecifyorapprovesub-tiersupplierscontractedbyitssuppliersforworkperformedon
TTElectronics’material.Thisincludesbutisnotlimitedtospecialprocess,materialstestingservices,distributors,andother
subcontractors.
•Suppliersshallflowdowntoitssub-tiercontractors,allrelevantqualityrequirementsimposedbythismanualandother

appropriateTTElectronicssupplychaincontact,however,suchsourcesmaynotbeusedpriortoreceiptofdocumentedTT

SuppliersshallimplementaprocessconformingtoAS9103.Suppliersshouldusetherecommendedriskmanagement

Thesupplier’squalitysystemmustensurethatthelatestengineeringdrawingsandspecificationsareavailableatthe
manufacturing,testorinspectionlocation.ThisincludesapplicablepreviousrevisionsifTTElectronicscontract/POlanguage
requiresotherthanthemostrecentrevision(s).
•Thewrittenprocedure(s)shouldindicatethemethodutilizedforreceipt,reviewordistributionofallchangesandthe
methodofrecallinganddisposingofanobsoleteitem.
Areviewprocessmustbeestablishedinthatsystemtoconfirmthatapplicabledrawingsandspecificationsareatthelatest
revisionlevelwiththeissuingsource.

Thesuppliermustretainadequatequalitysystemrecords,notlimitedtoalladvancedqualityplanningdocuments,process

Asuppliermustconductregularauditstoensurecontinuedcompliancewithinternalproceduresandcustomer

Toensureinternalauditsareconductedappropriatelyandconsistently,asuppliermusthaveaprocedurewithestablished

E-Q16.0ForeignObjectDebris/Damage(FOD)Preventionprogram
ProductsuppliersmusthaveaFODprogramforthepurposeofprevention,detection,andremovalofforeignobjects.The
programshouldmeetthefollowingrequirementsasapplicable:
•FODpreventionmustbeimplementedinallareasasapplicableandFODtrainingawarenessmustbegiven.
•Partsmustbeprotectedfromhandlingdamageinallareas;materialhandlingawarenesstrainingmustbeprovidedtoall
employeesandhandlingstandardsdocumented.
•SuppliermustdocumentallFODincidentsandperformrootcauseanalysis.
•MetricsmustbedocumentedifFODincidentsoccur.

Suppliersshallbegincontainmentactionupondiscovery/notificationofaproductnonconformance.ForallnonconformancesidentifiedbyaTTElectronicsfacilitythroughanNCR,andunlessotherwisespecified,thesuppliershall
submitaformalcorrectiveactionresponsewithcontainmentactions(within24hours)andcorrectiveactions(within14
calendardays)fromreceiptofacorrectiveactionrequest.Iftheproductmayhaveescapedtheirfacilityandhavebeen
shippedtoTTElectronicsandoritsCustomer,thesupplierwillnotifytheirrespectiveTTElectronicsbuyer.
•ForproductthathasbeenfoundorsuspecteddiscrepantpriortoshipmenttoTTElectronics,allrequestsforapprovalfor
repairortobe“usedasis”mustbesubmittedtoTTElectronicsforapproval,followingamaterialdeviationrequest,and
materialmustbeheldatthesupplier’saddresspendingreceiptofdocumentedEatonapproval,priortofurtherprocessing
and/orshipmentofnonconformingmaterial.
•Forproductsidentifiedorsuspectedasnonconformingreturnedfromthecustomer’sfacility;performancetesting;and/or
fieldvehicles,theanalysismustdeterminethecause(s)ofthenonconformance.Failuretorespondtoacorrectiveaction
requestmayresultinpenaltiesuptoandincludingsuspensionand/orremovalfromtheTTElectronicsASL.

UnlessotherwisespecifiedbyPO/contract,asuppliermustprovideadequatecertificationofconformanceforallmaterials

Whenrequiredbycontract,componentsprocuredfromasupplierholdinganapplicableAirworthinessApprovalfromtheir
localregulatoryauthority,thosecomponentsaretobesuppliedwiththeapplicableAirworthinessTag/Certification(i.e.,
EASAForm1or8130).Thisisparticularlyimportantforproprietarypartsthatmaynotbereadilyinspected/testedon
receipt.
InadditiontoanyspecificrequirementforAirworthinessReleaseTags,thebasiccategoriesofCofCdocumentationforall
productsorservicesareGeneral,SpecialProcess,Raw(Mill)Material,andAge-Sensitivematerials.
•GeneralCertificates
Ageneralcertificationofconformance,signedbytheQualityManagementRepresentativeordesignatedcompanyofficer,
shallbeusedforallpartsandmaterials,unlessotherwiseindicatedherein.
AnapprovedformatisshowninE-Q38.Thisform,orTTElectronicsapprovedequivalent,shallbeusedunlessotherwise
specifiedbycontract/PO.Formachinedcomponents;ifthesupplieralsosuppliestherawmetallicmaterial,acopyofthe
originalmillcertificateshallbeprovided.
•SpecialProcessCertificates
Inadditiontothegeneralcertification,anadditionalspecialprocesscertificationisrequired.
Thecertificateofconformancewillcontainataminimum:
• theprocess(s)performed
• thespecificationnumber
• revisionlevel
• purchaseordernumber
• partnumber
• lotsize
• samplesize
• applicableprocessspecifications/controls
• applicabletestresults
• serialnumberswhereapplicabletocontract
IfthejobwasprocessedusingaNadcapaccreditedprocess,thesuppliershallincludeastatementindicatingthejobwas
processedpertheirNadcapaccreditation,andshallincludetheiraccreditationnumberandexpirationdate.
•RawMaterial(Mill)Certificates
Rawmetallicmaterials(includingforgingsandcastings)suppliedshallincludeacopyoftheoriginalmillcertificateor
materialtestreport(certification)fromatestlabacceptabletoTTElectronics.
Rawmaterialmillcertificationsmaynotbealteredorhaveanymarkingsotherthancheckmarksfromverificationof
physicalandchemicalvaluesand/orindicationofinspectionacceptance.Stampsmaybeappliedby
warehouses/distributorstoaddincidentalinformationsuchastheTTElectronicspurchaseorder,weightshipped,etc.
• Castingandforgingsuppliersshallalsoincludethephysicalormechanicalpropertieswithheattreatbatch-lot
numbers.
• Whenrequiredbycontract/PO,certificationshallshowthatallmaterialscomplywithallGovernment
requirementsincludingcountryoforiginandcountrywherethematerialismelted.
•Age-SensitiveMaterialCertificatesincludeHose&Sleeving
AgeSensitiveMaterialsuppliersshalladditionallysupplythelotnumber,sourceconstructionnumber(hose/sleeveonly),
andcuredate(age-sensitiveitems)withintheCofCdocument.
