Planofit straightening system adds rigidity to
wooden sliding doors of 16 mm thickness and
upwards, and up to 2600 mm in height, and
prevents warping in either direction. Ideal for
large, heavy, sliding door
Planofit also straightens doors which have become
warped over a period of time.
Normally two straightening fittings are recommend
per door panel
The system components are let into two boss
recesses, Ø 35 mm x 12.5 mm deep, and a
groove, 10 mm wide x 8 mm deep.
The threaded rod should be shortened in
accordance with door height, i.e. length = distance
from recess centre to recess entre plus 33 mm
The length of the trim strip = distance from recess
centre to recess centre less 44 mm.
The components should be screwed together
before installation and adjusted to the precise
installed length and secured with the locking
element
After the fitting has been installed, the aluminum
trim strip is knocked into the groove and secured
with retaining plates
When the locking element has been removed from
the tensioning component, the door can be
straightened with an SW 10 open-ended wrench.
The adjusted position is then secured with the
locking element in the tensioning component
