NEAR-VERTICAL AXLE PATH
This Four-Bar suspension with Horst Link is not compressed or extended by the pedal force nor is it inhibited by the pedal stroke. This is the most efficient way to design suspensions as the pedal force does not move the suspension but is only directed to move you forward. The pedal stroke is smooth and not disrupted as the suspension is fully active. This means that the suspension is free to compress and rebound in an unhibited way, under all conditions
Pedal-feedback or brake-induced feedback are eliminated by carefully optimizing pivot placements and designing the suspension with a near-perfect vertical axle path.
The distance between the BB and the rear wheel remains virtually constant when the suspension compresses
