Please keep an updated copy of this form and leave the original on file in the School of Education Student Services Office. For general requirements pertaining to K-12 teacher licensure, visit the School of Education website (www.msudenver.edu/education) or stop by the School of Education Student Services Office, WC 162, and be sure to meet with your advisor in K-12 Modern Language Education each semester you are attending classes at MSU Denver. Before you can register for most education courses: • Apply to the School of Education by visiting the website: www.msudenver.edu/education/apply. • Obtain provisional and/or formal admission to the program. The requirements for each are explained in detail in the Admissions Student Handbook. Some courses require provisional admission, while most advanced courses require formal admission. 1. CONTENT COURSES You must have the equivalent to the specified coursework in each of the following categories to qualify for the post-baccalaureate K-12 Modern Languages licensure program. Bring your college transcripts to a designated advisor in the Modern Languages department in PL 360 (a list of advisors is available in WC 162 or online at www.msudenver.edu/ted) to have previous coursework approved in the following categories. This is one of your first steps before registering for Education classes. The Modern Languages advisor will recommend courses at Metro for any category you have not satisfied with previous course work.
