PVS-JB-8-M
The ABB junction box connects solar
modules to an ABB central inverter.
The junction box features eight inputs
along with string current monitoring
and extensive protection.
To ensure maximum yield from
a photovoltaic power plant, key
components need to be monitored and
alarms raised when necessary. The
ABB junction box provides the required
monitoring through separate current
measurement for each of the eight input
channels. Thus, each string status is
monitored separately and can respond
independently to any plant malfunction.
The ABB central inverter provides
complete system monitoring through
connection with a Modbus network.
Both inverter and string monitoring data
can be read through the same interface
and monitored remotely.
The ABB junction box is equipped with
an IP66 rated enclosure to protect
the cabling against extremes of heat
and humidity. In addition robust screw
clamp terminals make for easy cable
connection.
The junction box provides string
fuses to protect both the positive and
negative lines. Fuse holders can be
easily accessed to replace damaged
fuses. Overvoltage protection and
circuit breakers are included as
standard.
With 1000 volts (V) rating, the junction
box is suitable for high system voltages.
Versatile I/Os enable easy connection
of irradiance and temperature sensors
to the system. Digital inputs and relay
outputs complete the I/O interface.
