Introduction
--------------------------------------------HEAD OF LEARNING – YEAR 11
Tel: 0161 446 8645
Mr R Crickett (email rdc@parrswood.manchester.sch)
Year 11 Parents Evening – 27th January 2011
My name is Robert Crickett and I am delighted to be the Head of Learning for year 11. I have been
leading a year group for six years now. I have just seen this Year 11 through to their GCSE’s, my
main focus being the learning and outcomes of the pupils. My job is to oversee pupil progress and
help the pupils achieve the best possible GCSE results next summer. This means that I also work
closely with the faculties in ensuring the required support and challenge is being delivered in the
classroom.
We will be working closely together as subject teachers and Heads of Faculty to help meet the
individual needs of all the pupils in the year group. I will also be leading my team of tutors who will
be a vital link in supporting the pupils on all issues during this year, as well as delivering the
Personal Development Curriculum. The tutors should be your first point of contact for any
questions or information about your child, but please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any
questions or concerns and I will do my best to help.
