Pray for our sister churches as they
seek the leadership of the Holy Spirit
in calling the under-shepherd of
Christ to serve His Church of God’s
own choosing.
Director of Missions
Dr. Burt Wilbur
“Brethren, pray for us.” 1 Thessalonians 5:25
At our last Quarterly meeting I shared with the messengers
about, “Prayer, Preparation, and Power”.
The month of May we asked everyone to pray for our
association as we looked to leadership of the Holy Spirit for
the future.
The Month of June, we have been preparing to follow the
leadership of the Holy Spirit. Finding amazing opportunities
all around us to share the Gospel. Our Associational Teams
are meeting as we focus on the future as we walk with God.
The Month of July, we are beginning to see the power, God
is blessing us with, this newsletter is part of the renewed
power God is giving us to reach out in Jesus’ name. Much of
the old has been reformatted and new pages like “Church of
the Month” are here for your enjoyment.
The Month of August, New ministry is coming as the Brushy
Mountain S.A.M., begins under the leadership of Rev.
Lawson Horton. Don’t miss the drawing contest on the page
about Brushy Mountain S.A.M. anyone can enter.
The Month of April brought us the expanded Minister’s
Conference Schedule. Pastors, it is a great blessing to hear
the testimonies of the other pastors in the association at the
weekly meetings. Thank you to all those who have shared. I
do not have the words to explain the blessings God has given
in the midst of these meetings. Please remember to
schedule your week to be with us as often as possible. Those
who minister need to be ministered to by those who
understand their walk of faith.
Continue to join us in Prayer, as we seek to continue to make
Preparation for the future, seeking the Power of God on
the churches of the association to make disciples of Jesus
Christ!

North Carolina Missions Offering (NCMO) is a special offering received during
the month of September that supports the ministries of N.C. Baptist Men,
Church Planting, mission camps, associational projects and mobilization
ministry projects. NCMO is your opportunity to impact lostness as God
accomplishes many wonderful things through these various ministries.
The theme for 2016 is "Prepare the Way"
and the offering goal is $2.1 million. The
theme verse is Luke 10:1. Encourage your
church to set your goal to impact lostness
changing our state one soul at a time.

Helping Other People Excel
Rev. John Triplett, C.C.M. Director
Greetings from Hope Ministry.
What does the word hope mean to you? Stop and think about
it. Let me tell you a story that happened to me this month. I
was seating with one of our clients and she came needing help
with her power bill. She had not been to Hope Ministry in a
very long time. She was telling me what had happened to her
and why she just did not have the money to pay her power bill.
She started to pray with all her might, asking God for help. This
is the great part, she told me the last time she needed help.
The last time she came to Hope she sat with Miss Violet and
Violet prayed for her. She said that by Miss Violet praying for
her it had given her hope. The first thing that came to her mind
when she needed help again was Hope ministry and Miss Violet
and the hope she had received. We may never know what kind
of impact we have when we show the love of Christ to others.
In Psalm 39:7 “But now, Lord, what do I look for? My hope is in
you.
Our goal at hope Ministry is to help people to know our only
hope is in the Lord Jesus!
Thank you for partnering with us, as we love on our clients as
Christ loves the church.
John Triplett
