PLEASE NOTE: if the new window does not open automatically, your browser may have blocked a pop-up window: In this case you need to allow pop-ups: 4 DNB Investments user manual Opening a new financial instruments account If you don’t have a financial instruments account (or if it was closed previosly), you will see the following notice: Click “here” to begin opening a new finacial instruments account. Please note that the process of opening a new account including the agreement and binding documents is available only in Latvian. The account opening process consists of the following stages: 1. Choosing the current account from which custody fee will be debited 2. Confirming the selected current account 3. Choosing the communication channel 4. Providing consent to binding documents 5. The agreement can be printed or saved as a PDF file using the button Drukāt in the end of the agreement. 6. The agreement should be concluded by pressing the button Parakstīt in the end of the agreement. Later you can read or print your agreement in the section Reports / Agreements. 5 DNB Investments user manual Purchase of shares To purchase share: 1. Open the section Trade Shares 6 DNB Investments user manual 2. Choose the shares which you would like to buy and press Buy. To buy shares which are not on the Bank’s list, use the section Messages of DNB internet bank. 7 DNB Investments user manual 3. Enter order details: a. quantity b. price (you can either enter a limit price or check „Market price” checkbox to buy at market price) c. order’s validity period (maximum validity period – 30 days) 8 DNB Investments user manual 4. Make sure that the order appears in the section Orders – Valid orders. When the broker starts the execution of your order, you will see „Yes” in the column Accepted. 10 DNB Investments user manual Purchase of mutual funds’ units To buy units of mutual funds: 1. Open section Trade Mutual funds 2. Choose the fund whose units you would like to buy and press Buy. To purchase unit of a fund that is not on the list, use the section Messages of DNB internet bank. 11 DNB Investments user manual 3. 4. Enter the investment amount exluding bank’s fee and press Continue. Minimum investment amount is 1 000 EUR / 1 100 USD / 9 000 NOK. Check order details and press Confirm. When the broker starts the execution of your order, you will see „Yes” in the column Accepted. 13 DNB Investments user manual Bonds purchase To buy bonds: 1. Open section Trade bonds 2. Choose the bond which you would like to buy and press Buy. To buy shares which are not on the Bank’s list, use the section Messages of DNB internet bank. 14 DNB Investments user manual 3. Enter order details: a. Quantity (minimum purchase amount is starting from EUR 10 000 by nominal, it may vary for different bonds) b. Open section Portfolio view (main screen) and choose the financial instruments you would like to sell 2. Press Sell 18 DNB Investments user manual 3. Enter order details. Depending on the type of financial instrument you may have to enter: a. quantity b. price (limit or market) or yield c. order validity period (up to 30 days) 19 DNB Investments user manual 4. Make sure that the order appears in the section Orders – Valid orders. When the broker starts the execution of your order, you will see „Yes” in the column Accepted. 21 DNB Investments user manual Deregistration or receiving shares from Latvian Central Depository If your shares in Latvian companies are held at Latvian Central Depository, you may want to deregister them or receive to your financial instruments account. Please note that deregistration process is irrevocable and that custody fee will be applied for holding shares in your account. To deregister shares: 1. Open section Transfers 2. Choose operation type Deregistration 3. Choose shares from the list 4. You should not enter any quantity since partial deregistration is not possible 5. When the broker starts the execution of your order, you will see „Yes” in the column Accepted. 23 DNB Investments user manual Incoming transfer or receiving financial instruments to your account with DNB To receive financial instruments to your account with DNB: 1. Open section Transfers 2. Choose operation type Incoming transfer 3. Choose financial instrument from the list OR enter ISIN code of the instrument 4. Enter quantity 5. Choose the bank where financial instruments are currently held. If the bank is not on the list, call 1880. 6. Enter the name, surname, personal code, financial instruments account number of the sender 7. Enter the settlement date 8. Press Continue 24 DNB Investments user manual 9. When the broker starts the execution of your order, you will see „Yes” in the column Accepted. Important: the sender should submit an order to transfer financial instruments to his bank. 26 DNB Investments user manual Outgoing tansfer or sending financial instruments to your account with other bank To transfer your financial instruments to your account with other bank: 1. Open section Transfers 2. Choose operation type Outgoing transfer 3. Choose financial instrument from the list OR enter ISIN code of the instrument 4. Enter quantity 5. Choose the bank where you would to transfer the financial instruments. If the bank is not on the list, call 1880. 6. Enter your name, surname, personal code, financial instruments account number with the other bank. If you would like to transfer your financial instruments to other person, use the Messages section of DNB internet bank. 7. Enter the settlement date 8. When the broker starts the execution of your order, you will see „Yes” in the column Accepted. When an order is placed, it appears in the section Orders – Valid orders. You will see „No” in the column Accepted. 2. When the broker starts execution of the order, you will see „Yes” in the column Accepted. 30 DNB Investments user manual 3. When the order is executed and a transaction confirmation arrives from the partner, the order will be visible in the section Orders – Executed. Press Confirmation to see execution details. Please note that the confirmation will open in a new window. 4. If an order is cancelled or was not accepted for execution (e.g.. there is not enough money in your current account), the order will be visible in the section Orders – Cancelled. 5. If an order was not executed and has expired (e.g. the order had a limit price which was not reached), it is visible in the section Orders – Not valid. 6. The settlement usually happens on the second or the third day after the trade day. The settlement day the the day when financial instruments are debited from your account and money is credited to your current account or vice versa. 31 DNB Investments user manual Reports In the section Reports / agreements you will find: 1. Your Financial instruments account opening and maintenance agreement (if signed after 9.05.2016) 2. Reports: a. Financial instruments portfolio statement (the state of your financial instruments account on a particular date).
