painted with electrostatically applied, high temperature
baked enamel for superior quality and durability.
Material form, fit, and thickness meet or exceed,

Laboratories classified for use in retrofit applications.
LED LAMPS This product offers LED lamps. LED lamps may
be ordered as an accessory in place of 2' and 4' fluorescent

RFB is a retrofit kit developed by Simkar to convert a three or four lamp 2X4
troffer to a two lamp 12 cell parabolic using our exclusive “Blade” design and
easy-to-install reflector and socket bar. A 6 cell 2X2 version is also available.
Minimum depth required is 4 ½ inches. High reflectance white, post painted,
embossed cross blades to reduce glare and lamp imaging for improved comfort.
The door is hinged for easy access.

Now you can convert a conventional lensed or parabolic troffer into a modern,
decorative fixture with the he RFT troffer retrofit kit and meet energy efficient
upgrade needs. Lenses can be either micro-perf steel or translucent acrylic. The
RFT is designed to fit fixtures 3.25” or deeper and includes a universal voltage
ballast. Installation is quick and simple with included end brackets that assure
secure mounting and ease of access. Quick installation and toolless ballast
access make RFT the perfect choice for high tech troffer retrofits.

desired or a 4 lamp 2 X 2 or 2 X 4 to a three light version, Simkar’s RFL lamp

The RFF series channel retrofit kit is a simple multi-piece ballast cover that
includes sockets, ends, and a center saddle for converting 8’ channels to 4’
tandem units and fits most 4.25” up to 5“ channels. A 4’ conversion (RFF4)
requires end brackets and ballast cover. Unlike the one piece RFC unit, the
ballast must be wired in the existing channel and the RFF8 requires installation
of ends and center with tek screws. 1/4 Turn latches secure the ballast cover.

Upgrade your strip lights to reflector Industrial fixtures with the use of a simple
kit. Simkar is proud to offer a kit that allows you to keep your existing channel
and convert 8’ T12 fixtures to 2 or 4 lamp T5 or T8 units.
Pr ojec t
The RFI series is available in three finishes; white, specular and 95% reflective
aluminum in narrow, 6” width, medium 8” width and wide 10” reflectors to meet
all of your conversion needs.

REFLECTOR/BALLAST COVER
Precision formed
aluminum in with white, specular or enhanced specular
finish attached by quarter turn fasteners.
SOCKET BRACKETS Die formed aluminum embossed for
strength and uniformity. All painted metal parts are pretreated with a phosphate bonding process and painted with
electrostatically applied, high temperature baked enamel
for superior quality and durability.
Material form, fit, and thickness meet or exceed, UL1598
standards. Components are Underwriters Laboratories
classified for use in retrofit applications.
Computer assisted design results in maximum light output,
uniform light distribution, rigid strength and ballast access
without the use of tools.
SOCKETS Rotary type shunted sockets designed for T8
instant start (contact factory for rapid start or Programmed
start applications) T5 sockets are non-shunted rotary type
for Programmed Start ballasts.
APPLICATIONS For retrofit of channels up to 5" wide.
LED LAMPS This product offers LED lamps. LED lamps may
be ordered as an accessory in place of 2' and 4' fluorescent
lamps. Not compatible with emergency lighting or dimming
options. See ordering information and performance table for
more data.
WARRANTY 5 year manufacturers limited warranty on LED
T8 Lamps.
