Trade Compliance Information Request – All Parts
Attn: Export Compliance Officer:
Beechcraft is requesting the following information for all of the parts you supply to Beechcraft; as agreed upon in your
supplier contract with Beechcraft – Section 20 International Requirements. We are requesting this information in order to
comply with US laws when we import and export parts for assembly or repair.
To transmit this information please complete one of the attached forms on your company’s letterhead. (see Country of
Origin section to determine which form to use.) You may use your company’s own form as long as it contains all of the
data elements for each part you supply to Beechcraft.
Country of Origin: The country where an article was manufactured or produced; the last country in which the article
underwent substantial transformation.
Choose one of the following forms to return to Beechcraft.
Certificate of Origin (CoO): Choose this form if:
Your parts are manufactured outside the US, or
You are not the manufacturer of the parts but you are certifying that they are of US origin.
Manufacturer’s Affidavit (MA): Choose this form if:
You are the manufacturer of the parts, and
The parts are manufactured in the United States.
Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS): Provides the tariff rates and statistical categories for goods
imported into the United States. The HTSUS classifies a good (assigns it a ten-digit tariff classification number) based on
such things as its name, use, and/or the material used in its construction. If you are unaware of your HTSUS number you
can search for it here: http://www.usitc.gov/tata/hts/index.htm.
Export Control Classification Number (ECCN): An alpha-numeric code that identifies the technology level and the
capabilities of an item. It is used to identify items for export control purposes. To determine your ECCN(s), consult the
Export Administration Regulations (EAR), which can be found here: http://www.bis.doc.gov/licensing/exportingbasics.htm.
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR): Controls the import and export of defense articles and services. To
determine the ITAR status of your merchandise consult the ITAR, which can be found here:
http://www.pmddtc.state.gov/regulations_laws/itar_official.html.
Your prompt help in sending us the required documentation is appreciated. Please e-mail the completed forms and/or any
questions to: ITCimport@cessna.textron.com or fax to 316-206-9349 and include name and phone number of contact
person.
Thank you,
