In particular our designs feature: Eaton’s comprehensive Low Voltage System product portfolio has been specifically designed to meet the needs of all types of installation. The extensive portfolio includes: As might be expected from such a comprehensive portfolio Eaton’s low voltage power distribution and control systems have been used in almost all areas of application including: • Power supply and control assemblies (PSCs) • Shops • Wide selection of standard modules to ensure that products meet widest range of application specific requirements • Product data readily available to simplify specification/selection • Designed to be assembled and supplied quickly • Designed for ease of installation, meeting the challenges offered by large cables, limited spaces, restricted access and the like • Minimal maintenance requirements to ensure dependability and lowest cost of ownership • May incorporate energy cost and CO2 footprint reducing features: • Package sub-stations • Main and Sub-main Switchboards • Power factor correction modules • Busbar trunking • Active harmonic filtration modules • Motor control centres • Voltage reduction technology to substantially reduce power consumption • Power factor correction Safety assured Product safety is integral to the design of all Eaton low voltage system products. Extensive use of substantial rigid barriers constructed from either insulated or metallic components ensures the safety of all installers, operators and maintainers of our products. Internal Arc-fault management Specifiers and users of low voltage power switchgear assemblies are becoming increasingly aware of the hazards associated with internal arc-flash faults. The ferocity of an arc-flash is such that damage to the assembly and the emission of personnel threatening arcing gasses to the surrounding area may occur within as little as 20 milli-seconds. Both personnel and plant may be at risk from such arc-flash faults. Eaton has developed two market leading solutions to address this problem, both of which have been designed to not only protect personnel but also to ensure that assemblies remain suitable for use: Arcon Arcon arc-flash fault management units may be incorporated in all Eaton LVS assemblies. Arcon is a patented product developed by Eaton to ensure that any arc-flash fault which may occur is extinguished within 2 milli-seconds. This extremely high speed of operation ensures not only personnel safety but also that the assembly may be returned to full service after minimal maintenance and testing. • Engineered assemblies • Schools • Hospitals • Warehouses • Hotels • Prisons • Restaurants • Data centres • Sport stadiums • Factories • Petro-chem • Airports • Railways • Vertical Busbars rated up to 1600A • Eaton Capitole range • Dyn11 Vector Group as standard • Verified and Type Tested in accordance with IEC and British Standards • Copper or Aluminium windings • Up to 4MVA rating • Modular Construction • 6-12kV Primary • Incorporate Eaton switchboards • 400-690V Secondary • MV Vacuum Ring Main or Vacuum Circuit-breaker fed • Eaton DOL, Star-delta, variable speed, soft-start drives • Fuse or circuit-breaker drive protection • Optional kWh or multi-function meters with pulsed, RS485 or Modbus outputs • Option of arc-free design and/or Arcon arc-fault protection • Verified and Type Tested in accordance with IEC and British Standards Sub-main Switchboards • Designed to occupy minimum space whilst maintaining excellent cabling facilities • Eaton Capitole, xEnergy and MPS ranges • Verified and Type Tested in accordance with IEC and British Standards • Horizontal Busbars rated up to 6300A 100kA • Vertical Busbars rated up to 2500A • Optional kWh or multifunction meters with pulsed, RS485 or Modbus outputs • Fixed, removable or withdrawable starters • Option of Eaton Clink II Motor Management system • Eaton Capitole, xEnergy and Modan ranges • IP31, IP42, IP54 • IP31, IP42, IP54 • Incorporate Eaton ACBs, MCCBs, Fused combination switches, MCBs and surge protection Switchboards • Form 4 Types 2, 5, 6 and 7 • Form 4 Types 2, 5, 6 and 7 • Designed to occupy minimum space whilst maintaining excellent cabling facilities • Incorporate Eaton ACBs, MCCBs, Fused combination switches, MCBs and surge protection • Incorporate power factor correction and harmonic filtration • Option of voltage reduction unit • Option of Arcon arcfault protection • Horizontal Busbars rated up to 1200A 50kA • IP31, IP41, IP42 • Form 3b Type 2, Form 4 Types 2, 5, 6 • Vertical Busbars rated up to 1200A • Optional kWh or multi-function meters with pulsed, RS485 or Modbus outputs • Incorporate Eaton ACBs, MCCBs, Fused combination switches, MCBs and surge protection High IP Rating Insulated Switchboards and Motor Control Centres • Eaton Halyester range • Suitable for indoor and outdoor installations Our motor control centres may be specified to include features such as phase segregated busbars to ensure that they are arc-free.
