PEACHTREE CITY, GA., July 21, 2014. SouthCrest Financial Group, Inc., is pleased to announce
Claudia J. Wilson as Vice President, SBA Lending
In this new position, Wilson will serve businesses in the state of Georgia and beyond,
concentrating on SBA 7(a) and SBA 504 lending programs for small businesses. She will focus on
customer service and is able to provide prospective SouthCrest Bank clients with a full
complement of lending options.
Wilson is convinced that the SBA loan program “is an excellent financing tool for small
businesses”. And the Vice President for SouthCrest Bank practices what she preaches after
more than 25 years of administering all facets of SBA lending.
Wilson began her career as a Development Officer with Columbus Countywide Development
Corporation, Wilson quickly became instrumental in establishing and servicing a portfolio of SBA
7(a) and SBA 504 loans for the second largest Certified Development Corporation in the country.
It was here that she developed an interest in small business lending.
Later, she took her lending expertise to The Business Development Corporation of Georgia, Inc.,
where she served as Vice President. At the BDC, she was responsible for generating and
servicing SBA 7(a), SBA 504 and conventional loans. Building on her experience with loan
origination, structuring and processing, Wilson worked for companies such as AT&T Capital
Corporation, UPS Capital Small Business Credit, The Private Bank, CBC National.
Wilson currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Economic Development Corporation of
Fulton County and served as a charter member on the Board of Directors for The Georgia
Lenders Quality Circle. She is an active member of the Georgia Association of Business Brokers.
She has been an active supporter of the U.S. Small Business Administration, having served as
Chairman for the Georgia SBA Advisory Council.
Wilson received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications from Ohio University and
resides in Milton, Georgia with her husband, David and sons, Nick and Connor.
