New 300,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Des Plaines, IL. – This contemporary, manufacturing facility will feature the latest technological advances in production

Main channels are manufactured from 14 ga. (.074) coldrolled steel and incorporate a narrow 1.00 width face for a
streamlined aesthetic.
Main channels are manufactured from 11 ga. (.119) coldrolled steel and exploit a multiple formed (ribbed) profile for
added strength.
Entire external frame assembly exploits continuous bead welding for strength and to diminish any potential wave guide situations, resulting in much higher levels of shielding attenuation.
Formed side struts are manufactured from 14 ga. (.074) coldrolled steel.
Top and bottom formed sections are manufactured from 14 ga.

Door Options
Doors are available in solid, louvered, perforated, or plexiglas. Solid steel doors are manufactured from 18 ga. cold-rolled
steel. Aluminum handles are mounted with all necessary hardware. Louvered doors are the same as solid, but incorporate
formed louvers for heat dissipation. Plexiglas doors are available in smoked or clear plexiglas. They incorporate a clear,
anodized aluminum framework with a plexiglas insert and aluminum handle. All doors are available as face or flush mount.

Top Panels
Top panels close the top of AMCO consoles and are
available in solid, louvered, and perforated styles. In
most cases, top panels accept cooling devices to allow
you precise environmental control.
Enclosure panels come in a variety of styles to finish your panel opening requirements exactly to
your design preferences. Available in solid, louvered, perforated (formed) steel, and aluminum.
Side panels, available solid or louvered, close off
the sides of enclosures. They can be ordered bolton or lift-off for easy accessibility. Louvers allow
for additional cooling.

change over time. As such, our enclosure systems are designed to allow for easy expansion and reconfiguration. Horizontal
expansion is simple: Additional units can be linked console-to-console or with the addition of pie sections to form multibay configurations.
There are virtually no limits to the type of horizontal expansion the IMS Engineered Products modular system allows. To
expand vertically, IMS Engineered Products enclosures utilize component modules, including wedges, writing surfaces and
monitoring frames. With this system, it’s easy to design for today’s environment while anticipating tomorrow’s growth, all
the while meeting ergonomic needs and driving productivity.

The Workhorse for General Packaging Requirements
The FX Series’ high strength characteristics make it ideal for almost all commercial and OEM needs, as well as
many military requirements. Typical OEM applications for the FX Series include: Data, Medical, Automation,
Process Control, Aviation, and Test & Instrumentation.

FX Series frames are the heart of the IMS Engineered Products’s general packaging system. Working closely with engineers across all vertical industry segments, IMS Engineered Products has created in the FX a universal platform with
the flexibility to configure specific design requirements with little or no custom modification. An extensive array of
accessories provide efficient solutions to power requirements, cooling, and cable management—all are available as
standard items, mounted in place to arrive on site ready to load. Frames are available in vertical, sloped, and low silhouette styles. Cabinets can be built as single- or multiple-bay consoles, in curved or inline configurations.

Fx Series Configuration Versatility

IMS offers two different enclosure configurations—vertical and sloped front. Equipment and mounting requirements will dictate
your choices, but all of our enclosures work well in either free-standing or series-mounted applications.
See below how multi-bay cowlings, optional pie sections and writing surfaces impart a cohesive, “custom-designed” appearance
when used in a multi-bay format.
Multi-Bay
Single
19" Sloped Front Console is shown in a multi-bay, curved configuration
designed for Monitoring applications. One piece 18" depth writing surface, 2 ea. 30° pie sections and 3 ea. 15° wedges for 14" Monitoring
Frames are featured in this 3-bay console. Finish is 101T-Pottery White
and 129T-Dark Beige.
61" Vertical frame is shown as a single-bay, stand alone,
Test Station console. Components are the same as multibay, sloped front console with 14" monitoring frame and
15° wedges but without 45° pie sections. Vertical frames
traditionally provide optimal equipment mounting space
vs. Sloped Front or Low Silhouette styles. Console finish is
112T- Silver and 113T-Gunmetal.
Custom
Seven bay vertical console features a 70" vertical frame with smoked plexiglas doors and has similar monitoring components as the single
bay and multi-bay consoles—but without writing surfaces. The two pie sections between vertical frames are used as spacers and cable management systems. Monitoring frames and wedges were added to an existing multi-bay console to expand system’s capabilities with no additional horizontal space available. Console finish is 111T-Light Blue and 116T-Black.

MX and MXL channels provide standard mounting options in 14 ga. CRS channels. The MX channel provides dual mounting flanges for a panel
mounting surface and an equipment support or slide-mounting surface. Both the MX and MXL can be used with any standard FX Series frame
width (19" or 24") and are available with standard EIA hole punching for clip nuts with either 12-24 or 10-32 thread.
The 11 ga. MXT and MXLT channels are the same as MX and MXL, except they are drilled and tapped 10-32 on the panel-mounting flange.
MXW channels provide for the mounting of 19" in a 24" wide FX frame.
MXLA and MXWA are adapters used to provide a mounting
flange for chassis or accessories. The 3.500" long MXLA is
used in combination with MXL channels. The 3.625" long
MXWA is used in combination with MXW channels. To order
either adapter, specify part number MXLA or MXWA.
Mounting hardware is included. All panel-mounting channels
are zinc plated with clear chromate in accordance with ASTM
B633-98 Class SC2 Type 2 (yellow).

Provisions are made in all IMS/AMCO frame bases for caster mounting. Casters are available in light, medium and heavy duty load ratings.
Complete mounting hardware is provided, including brackets and shims. Casters are sold individually to allow various combinations, except

requirements. Aside from the components shown on the previous pages, the FX Series also contains monitoring system designs that
feature our Low Silhouette Frame and Frame Pedestals that are incorporated into work or monitoring stations. The integration of
these components into your design provides you with a product that will meet your exact specifications.
Desks can be constructed with pedestals left, right, or both left and right.
Pedestal legs with specifically selected writing surface lengths, colors, finishes and related modesty panels provide optimal work surface area where
applications call for a dedicated workstation.Test and Measurement,

structurally significant desks are incorporated into the process.
Low Silhouette frames are available in a 19” and 21” panel height openings and

This section provides application illustrations of our Next
Generation Server Cabinet System. They specifically
address the ability of the system to adapt to the constraints of bringing bundles of cabling into the
system/cabinet and the components that interface with
this particular requirement. Overhead cabling troughs
are also available as well as overhead troughs that connect rows together in the Data Center.

Next Generation Cable Infrastructure
1) CMP-1U-19 Cable Management Panel. Cable panel holds
down cable from patch panels, etc., with 8 ea. Velcro straps.
2) CMB-19 Strain Management Bar. Formed wire bracket takes
pressure off radius area of wire bundles.
3) BACQ2-1 Single Accessory Bracket. Allows CBCQ2 lacing
strips, customers equipment, power taps, etc., to be mounted vertically or horizontally in open space of frame weldment.
7) BACQ2-XXU-5 Recessed Lacing Strip. Same as CBCQ2-XXU5 except this strip has recessed bends to utilize 1.75" between the
side panel and the mounting channel.
8) CBCQ-1U-27-3 Lacing Strip. Same as CBCQ2 except that it is
used in the side, front to rear position of the frame.
9) CTCQ-1U-27 Cable Trough. Trough runs front to rear and has
a 1" bend for cable nesting.
4) BACQ2-2 Double Accessory Bracket. Allows CBCQ2 lacing
strips, customers equipment, power taps, etc., to be mounted vertically or horizontally in open space of frame weldment.
10) CTCQ-2U-19 Panel Opening Cable Trough. Trough mounts in
rear (typically) panel opening space and has 2.50" bend for cable
nesting.
5) BACQ2-3 90º Angled Accessory Bracket. Allows powerstrips,
etc. to be mounted in open space of frame weldment or in Cable
Wiring Troughs/Cable Separator area.
11) OS-XX Optional Side Strut. (Depth 36", 39" or 42") Side Strut
mounts to side flanges of mounting channel for additional support.
6) CBCQ2-XXU-5 Lacing Strip. Available in full height or smaller
RU versions. These strips assist in cable tie down or accessory/equipment mounting.
Note: All of the above cabling accessories are supplied in a black finish. Additional cabling accessories (cable bundle retainers,
cable ties, cable cord clips, etc.) are available. For 24" panel width accessories, contact IMS Engineered Products direct.

mission critical programs and projects. IMS can review your requirements and provide a standard or custom configuration.

IMS has designed its NEBS GR-63-CORE seismic cabinets to be as easily configurable as its other enclosure series—allowing
an almost infinite amount of flexibility in accessory selection choice. Frame weldment incorporates top and base into frame construction. Doors, side panels, venting and cable egress for top and base, mounting channels—all can be selected to close the
exterior of the frame. Internal accessories are available and are shown in the FX Series of this catalog—pgs. 13–19. Power
Distribution can also be integrated into the cabinet, as well as Environmental Monitoring which is shown on pages 63–75 of
this catalog.

Our heavy-duty aluminum structural framing system (SFS) is a simple method of designing and building frames and enclosures
to special size and high strength requirements. This unique IMS Engineered Products system provides a selection of 14 aluminum
extrusions (1.50" OD) and 8 types of corner castings (0.125" wall thickness) commonly utilized in all sectors of Industry.
The flanges in the extrusions accommodate .125" flat panels or .625" formed panels. The system accepts locking clips (when
design will be permanent) or non-locking clips for prototypes or planned disassembly. IMS Engineered Products' standard line
of components can be integrated into the framing system to speed and support the development process. Structures created
with the IMS Engineered Products structural framing system provide exceptionally high strength and load bearing capabilities;
its corner locking methods actually surpass the strength of welded joints. When reinforced with bolt-on gussets, SFS assemblies
can meet MIL-STD-167-1 shock and vibration requirements. In many cases, these aluminum structures can be interfaced with
steel console assemblies.
IMS Engineered Products’s structural framing system can meet complex design requirements for military and commercial
applications, and has proven its mettle in such high profile work as the NASA Space Program. Other examples of its use
include heavy electrical generator housings, major process control installations, communications systems, and weather-sealed
outdoor enclosures. From laboratory layouts to the most intricate console assemblies, the IMS Engineered Products aluminum
structural framing system is a reliable choice.

Power Accessories
The PDD is an LCD local display unit that is connected to
the PDE series power distribution unit with a plug-in RJ
type cord. The display may be mounted at the front or top
of a cabinet, eliminating the need to enter a secure cabinet environment. This self-powered display unit will provide a scrolling display of user-selected data gathered by
the RSM unit. Upon breach of user-selected thresholds, the
PDD will sound a high pitch local alarm that may be
silenced by pressing the “reset” button.

Warranty Period
Unless otherwise specified, IMS Engineered Products
frames are shipped in individual heavy-duty cartons with
single width components assembled on the frame. Upon
request, console arrangements will be completely assembled at the factory and shipped like furniture, via van, at no
additional charge for assembly. Console arrangements may
also be crated for shipment. Crating charges will be quoted
for each such order, as console arrangements vary.

and all allegedly defective items on-site at purchaser’s convenience.

IMS Engineered Products disclaims any responsibility for
loss of time or use of parts or equipment wherein IMS
Engineered Products enclosures, components, or accessories are used, transportation or any other incidental or
consequential damage; and any implied Warranties including the implied Warranty of merchantability and fitness for
intended use are limited to the duration of this written
Warranty.
IMS/AMCO - Other Services
Cancellation and return charges begin at 40% with a minimum of $50.00, depending on the nature of the order and
the extent to which it has been processed. All returns have
a 30 day – upon receipt – time limit. Returns must be freight
prepaid and not made without the prior written approval of
IMS Engineered Products.
1) Failure in whole or part resulting from misuse, alteration,
excessive temperature, excessive humidity, corrosive environment, or lack of maintenance. 2. Any materials or components used or manufactured pursuant to the purchaser’s
