ABOUT VITS
Vignan Institute of Technology and Science (VITS), an
ISO 9001 : 2000 certified institution and established in
the year 1999, is a fast growing technical Institution in
Andhra Pradesh under the auspices of the well known
VIGNAN Group of Educational Institutions.
The
Vignan Group is synonymous with quality engineering
education having its institutions across the length and
breadth of Andhra Pradesh. VITS is situated near the
world renowned Ramoji Film City, in idyllic spot amidst
a vast area of 350 acres with Sylvain surroundings. It
now has full fledged laboratories for all six
departments of Civil, CSE, EEE, ECE, EIE and Mech.

courses has also offering Post Graduate Programs
like Design and Manufacturing (ME), VLSI (ECE) and
PEED, EPS (EEE) under the JNTU.

nearly Rs.20 Lakhs have been funded by
various reputed institutions like AICTE etc.,
and have been in the limelight for solving
various social issues.

technical knowledge in various fields.

EEE DEPARTMENT HIGHLIGHTS:
Flexibility is the word that best summarizes
Electrical Engineering. Electrical engineers apply
the basic sciences to control and transform energy
and transfer information in ways that are vital to the
operation of modern society. The Department of
EEE at VITS seeks to shape its under graduates
into critical, original and independent thinkers
sufficiently equipped with the necessary tools to
venture out into the practical world with
professional competency, who can add to the body
of scientific knowledge.
The department has highly qualified and
highly dedicated senior faculty with good support
from technical staff. The seniors faculty members
are actively engaged in various research areas like
Control Systems, Power Electronics, Industrial
drives and Power Systems etc.
Also the
department has an excellent track record besides
co-curricular and extracurricular activities in which
our students have excelled in various IITs across
the country.

all JNTUH affiliated colleges in 2012-2013.

“Automatic
Intelligent Pollution Control from Vehicles
and alerting the authorities using GSM.

EEE students were trained in software
courses which help them to perform well in
campus selections.

events and extracurricular activities held in
