As predicted, this year is proving to be just as busy particularly as we build up to the London 2012 and the vitally important role that Typhoon and our personnel will have to play to ensure a safe and successful Olympics. I don’t underestimate the amount of work and sacrifice this will take but hope that home, deployed, inside and outside of the work place that set your achievements apart from all the other stations within the RAF. On a personal note, I would like to thank you all for the humour, selflessness you can take the opportunity to enjoy the other events of the summer and in particular the Station Families Day on 16th June. Until then, fingers crossed for some good barbeque weather!! elcome to issue 2 of OnetoOne for 2012. T wenty-six teams entered and completed the event in 2011; raising over £27,000 for the H4H charity. The rules for the event are quite simple: firstly teams must purchase a car for less than £250; they can then spend as much of their own money as is required to make the car road legal. Each team must raise a minimum of £200 before the event, but the majority of teams raise much more than this. Most importantly the event is not a race; it is a driving challenge where teams help nurse their ‘bangers’ to the checkpoints.
