372 About the Contributors Şefika Şule Erçetin graduated from the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences Department of Business Administration at Anadolu University in 1984. In 1987 she started to work as research assistant at the Division of Educational Administration, Supervision, Planning, and Economics in Hacettepe University and completed the doctorate there. In 1994 she was invited to The University of Texas at Austin, where she worked as visiting scholar for six months. Since 2003 she has been working as professor. In 2009-2012 she directed many international and national projects about “organizational intelligence, municipalities, vocational education,” as project coordinator. She is the head of the company she established Ni.Su with “Quantum Performance in Project Management” project. She is the president, management board member and founder member of the International Science Association (ISCASS). Along with ISCASS, Prof. Dr. Şefika Şule ERÇETİN organized 3 international symposiums. She has published more than 50 articles in both national and international journals. She has written seven national books, 10 international book chapters and edited six international books. She is editor in chief of different national and international journals. She is one of the rare academics in Turkey who has been interested in “chaos, complexity, quantum leadership” since 1990. She has directed many theses and she gives seminars about these topics. Since December 2013 she has been the Director of Distance Education Application and Research Center in Hacettepe University where she leads the activities of substructure, planning, program, coordination and application for the distance education applications of graduate education, undergraduate education and lifelong learning programs. Santo Banerjee received his PhD in 2008 in the area of Nonlinear Dynamics and Theoretical Physics. His current area of research is Chaos theory and its various applications in the field of Engineering, Science and Management. He has 15 authored/edited books and hundreds of international publications. He is also an editor/board member of many international journals. He is full Professor in Theoretical Physics (since 1987) in Istanbul University, Turkey. Former President; Balkan Physical Union (1989-1997), Former President; Turkish Physical Society (1987-1997). Former Head; Physics Department and Chairman; High Energy Physics Division (since 1987) in Istanbul University. He has published numerous scientific articles and popular works in quantum field theory, particle physics, cosmology, education, philosophy and history of physics. He is also the author of three books. He was awarded the Turkish Scientific and Technical Research Council State “junior” Prize in 1985; “Associate Member”; The Abdus Salam ICTP; “Golden Character” International League of Humanists in 1998 and Balkan Physical Union “Honour Member” in 1999 www.gedizakdeniz.com. Yakup Albayrak is a medical doctor and an assistant professor of psychiatry at Namık Kemal University Medical Faculty, Department of Psychiatry. He completed his residency at Ankara Atatürk Education and Research Hospital in 2010. Yakup Albayrak is studying in fields of psychopharmacology, mood disorders and psychotic disorders and published several articles about these subjects. He is also interested in the fields of crisis and prevention intervention. Mahmut Abdullah Arslan was born in Giresun in 1969, and graduated from the Turkish Language and Literature Department of Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Ataturk University, in 1994. In 1996, he got the MA degree from the Institute of Social Sciences of the same university with a thesis on the topic of “The Life and Literary Identity of Bekir Fahri (İdiz)” within the scope of New Turkish Literary Education. He worked as a research assistant in Kazım Karabekir Faculty of Education between 1994-2002. He got his doctoral thesis in 2012 in “the curriculums and textbooks of Turkish (excepting Turkey) and global literatures from republic to today” within the scope of Turkish Language and Literature Education from Gazi University Institute of Educational Sciences. Working as a Turkish Language Instructor at Erzincan University from 2007 to 2012, he now continues his profession at the same university as an associate professor in the Department of Turkish Education, Faculty of Education. Cemile Asker was born in Baku, Azerbaijan. Since 1992, she has been living in Turkey. She graduated from the Ankara University Faculty of Political Sciences Department of the International Relations in 2012. During her BA studies, she lived in Baltic states and Russian Federation and researched state and nation building in post-Soviet countries. She is a native Russian speaker. Haydar Ateş was born in Ankara, Turkey in 1959. He joined the military in 1973 as a cadet. He gratuated from Army War College as Lieutenant in 1980. He served as staff officer from brigade to general staff level. He commanded company, battalion, regiment, and brigade for about 12 years. He worked in international and multinational organizations as commander and manager. He is the former Head of Support, TIPH, El-Khalil/West Bank/Palestine/Israel and the former Deputy Commander of NATO ISAF Regional Command Capital and Turkish National Contingent Commander, Kabul/Afghanistan. He also served as Liaison Officer in US Army TRADOC. His major is management, master degree on management and organization, and Ph. D. on education management, supervising, planning, and economics. He has 5 medals (NATO-2, US Army-1, TIPH-1, Italy-1) from international missions. Murat Beyazyüz is psychiatrist at Ankara Gölbaşı HASVAK State Hospital, Department of Psychiatry. He completed his residency at Ankara Numune Education and Research Hospital in 2010. Dr. Beyazyüz published articles about political psychology, psychohistory and cultural aspects of psychiatric disorders. Besides, in collaboration with Yakup Albayrak he is studying in fields of psychopharmacology, mood disorders and psychotic disorders and they together published some articles about these subjects. Dr. Beyazyüz is author of Cemil Meriç’in Psikolojisi (The Psychology of Cemil Meriç) (2007), and coauthor of these books: Geçimsizler (Quarrelsomes) (2011), Gerçek İnsanın Yüzünde Yazar mı? (Is the truth written on the face of man?) (2012) and Hasta Bedenin Ruhu (The soul of the sick body) (2013). Ssali Muhammadi Bisaso was born on the 12th of December 1981 to Abdul and Rehemah Bisaso at Mabindo, Sembabule, Uganda, and graduated from the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) with a First Class Hons. Degree in education in 2005 and was consequently appointed Teaching Assistant at IUIU in August, 2005 in the faculty of education, department of curriculum and instruction. He graduated with a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction at the International Islamic University, Gombak, Malaysia in June, 2010. He has supervised teacher trainees at school practice and research projects of undergraduate students alongside teaching pedagogy and management laden courses. He also worked as an education consultant with the African Education Trust (AET) and the European Union (EU) in Somali Land and Puntland in 2011. Currently he is undertaking a PhD in Educational Management, Supervision, Planning and Economics at Hacettepe University in Turkey. Rahman Çakır was born in Giresun in1966. He graduated from his Primary School Teaching program in Karadeniz Technical University (1996), completed his postgraduation program in Main Branch of Science of Education Management, Supervision and Economy of Social Sciencess Intitution (2000) in Atatürk University. He completed his doctor’s degree education in Main Branch of Science of Education Management, Supervision, Planning and Economy of Social Sciences Institution (2008) with his work named “The affect of a work related to improvement of organizational intelligence on improvement of organizational intelligence”. Before this position she was a research asistant at Gazi University in Turkey. She was born in Trabzon in 1984. She went to Merkez Primary Education School, then Vakfikebir High School, and then Beşikdüzü Teacher High School. She has passed Abant Izzet Baysal University. Then she recieved her master degree at the same university. Her master thesis was about naturel disaster in specially earthquake and its effect on primary school students. Semra Günay Aktaş successfully completed the Bachelor’s Degree at Ankara University Faculty of Language, History and Geography, Geography Department and continued with Master’s Degree at Ankara University Physical Geography Department and Doctoral Degree at the same university in Regional Geography Department. During the Master’s and Doctoral studies, she worked as a geography teacher at the Ministry of Education and a researcher teacher at Research and Development Unit of the Ministry of Education. After completing the doctoral program, Semra GUNAY worked as an Assistant Professor at Samsun Ondokuz Mayıs University Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Geography Department Human and Economic Geography Department. She is stil working as an Associate Professor at Anadolu University Earth and Space Science Research Institute in Eskisehir. Halime Güngör was born on April 17, 1979 in Bursa in Turkey. She graduated from Boğaziçi University Faculty of Education Guidance and Psychological Counseling Department in 2003. Then she received her master’s degree in Division of Educational Administration and Supervision from Sakarya University, Turkey in May 2013. Her thesis was entitled, “ Relationship between Stigma Tendecies of School Principals’ and Teachers’ and Organizational Culture”. She has started to attend Educational Administration, Supervision, Planning and Economics PhD Program since September 2013, in Hacettepe University, Turkey. She is a total quality management leader, school counselor and also managed lots local projects on education. Zeynep Gürel was born in 1958 in Istanbul. She is Associated Professor in Physics Education in Marmara University, Turkey. She is a pioneer in outdoor physics, discovering it as a novel and unprecedented domain in Turkey. Mehmet Ali Hamedoğlu has a Ph.D. in Division of Educational Administration, Supervision, Planning and Economics. Oğuzhan Karadeniz completed primary and secondary education in Erzurum which is a city in Turkey and completed high school education in Ankara in 2001. Assistant Professor Dr. Oğuzhan Karadeniz worked as a Social Studies teacher in primary school institutions between the years 2005-2012. He was appointed as an Assistant Professor Dr. in the Department of Primary School Social Studies Teaching in Bülent Ecevit University, Ereğli Faculty of Education in 2012. Beytullah Kaya completed primary, secondary and high school education in Gümüşhane which is a city in Turkey. Asst. Dr. Beytullah Kaya worked as a teacher in primary school institutions between the years 2001-2013. Emir Kaya is Assistant Professor of Philosophy and Sociology of Law at Yıldırım Beyazıt University in Ankara and rapporteur-judge at the Constitutional Court of Turkey since 2012. Dr. Kaya holds degrees from the School of Oriental and African Studies – University of London, Harvard University and Indiana University-Bloomington. His main research interests are moral and philosophical foundations of law, law and politics, governmental bodies, legal culture, and religion and state. Recently he has published a series of articles in Turkish on the interrelation between Turkish law and culture. Nilay Neyişci graduated from Middle East Technical University, Department of Sociology in 2004. In 1966 she moved to Saratov, in connection with the appointment of the father to work in the Military-medical Department of Saratov medical Institute. In 1977 she graduated from Saratov state University, majoring in psychology. Since 1983 she worked as a Junior scientific associate in the scientific laboratory of the research Institute of Cardiology, Saratov. Since 1985 worked at the Saratov state University (Department of Psychology). In 1986 she moved to the position of head of the Department «Valeology and socio-psychological problems of education» in Saratov Institute for teacher retraining, continuing combined with work at Saratov state University as an assistant Professor. Orlova retired from the Institute in 2001 in connection with reorganization and returned to the Saratov state University. During the professional activity, she published more than 100 scientific works, including 7 textbooks, two monographs, one author’s monograph. Mehmet Özbaş is currently an Assoc. Prof. at Erzincan University, Erzincan, Turkey. Being graduated from the Department of Primary School Teachers’ Education, he worked as a primary school teacher for 20 years. He studied Fuzzy Logic and Currency Crises at Knowledge and Intelligence System, KIS, Lab at the University of Toronto under BurhanTurksen`s supervision during his dissertation study. Aleksei Ponukalin is Associate Professor of the Department of General and social psychology, and Deputy Dean for research of the faculty of psychology of Saratov State University, N.G. Selçuk Turan graduated from Gazi University, Faculty of Education in 2003. He is now working as an English teacher at a Trade Vocational High School. Burhan Türkşen graduated from the Department of Industrial Engineering, University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 1960. He obtained his Masters Degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research in 1962, and obtained his Ph. D. degree in Operations Research and Systems Management in 1969.
